Zed ownwership day 1 Feeling frustrated already.............Ref my keyless entry. So, the car will not open the keyless entry, no respone whatsoever. Using the key I open the car, that sets the alarm in motion. Gettng in and the car will start and the alarm goes off. Would having the car battery off cause this? Loses it's memory? I'm only guessing, but was wondering if when serviced, checked over etc before buying it, the company caused it? I have a keycode card. Maybe a drive to nissan is required.....or some advice from you guys! As for the exhaust it's called "Jasma" I'll add some pics.......I know nothing about it apart from it sounds good, twin pipes.

Ok.......so I've now taken delivery of my zed, not even had chance to take it for a drive due to work. But I have a couple of questions that may speed things up for me. My key fob doesn't lock the car with the button...what battery does it take? I can perhaps get one ordered while still at work. If that is the cause, any other suggestions to try would also be good. Secondly had a quick look at the exhaust....it says "pro racing" on the tail pipe...anybody know anything about this exhaust? I knew this when I purchased the car but it has a few stone chip marks on the front bumper.....I think I'll get this resprayed, any rough Idea of the cost of doing so? Also while I'm planning this I may consider replacing it with another style, again looking for suggestions. Finally I've got my spacers and badges in place ready to do at the weekend before starting the task of giving it a good clean. Cheers Jon

So a quick question. Does everyone use V power fuel? Do you notice the benefits? If so what are they? I've never used it in any of my cars upto now, but if it's the opinion that I should in the Zed then that's what I'll do. Should I run a fuel cleaner through first? Regards john

So powder coating in a chrome finish is the way to go. Can someone confirm this is the best approach. I'll start getting quotes for the refurb. And once coated, what would be the best protection to use? Cheers

It gets better!. I'd arranged for collection this Sunday, which they cannot do. But now they will deliver to me on the Monday.....but at a charge of £45. I'd accept paying £30 as this would be what It costs in fuel to get there and back. I'm considering walking away with my money back! Not acceptable in my eyes!!! All for a boot gas strut!

Does anyone have chromed alloys? I'd be interested to see what they look like when fitted.

Latest news is possibly deliver it to my house Monday afternoon..............needs management approval Saturday Morning, so fingers crossed!!!

Now I do like the look of those polished rays!! Something I'd certainly be interested in having done........and at around £80 a wheel something I'd consider. What would the upkeep be like? Keeping them clean and general wear and tear, easier or harder than the standard ray?

I've tried that, they are saying it's still on the ramp until Monday so are unable to do it. But I'll keep trying...very frustrating all round.

Well..........not the news I wanted to hear, but looking at the bigger picture I know I need to wait. My car won't be ready for collection this weekend I pointed out on the inspection that one of the boot gas struts needs replacing...this won't be arriving until Monday. Due to work commitments, it will mean another week before I can collect!!! It's like some kind of torture! I have my wheel spacers, new badges and cleaning products all lined up........but no car
