I noticed that they were pants on my new 04 at the time - but you gradually get used to them

Well after being idle for 2 weeks it started up no problems
Drove the Zed 250 miles to a campsite in Devon and left it parked in a shady spot for 2 weeks.
After the return leg (so a 500 mile round-trip) I noted that the average speed was 41 mph at 36 mpg - not bad for a 10 year old Zed

I don't usually care much for stuff like this - but that is very well done.
Good work fella
And great looking Zed

Thanks everyone - the battery is only around 18 months old so I'll leave it connected.
Cheers

I'm going camping for a couple of weeks and so will be leaving the Zed idle for that period of time - does anyone have any advice about what precautions I should take?
Already suggested is to leave the handbrake off as it may stick depending on weather conditions. Anything else?
Thanks
TT.

I'm going camping with the Zed soon - and I don't think this is a bad idea

Personally I prefer the framed front plate - the unframed doesn't look "legit" and could attract the attention of bored traffic cops

I'd have Matt Purple
This - but Gunmetal
I see a lot of matt colours where I am (footballers wives country) and they all look good - except a Bently in Camouflage green which looked like it was trying too hard to be different

Well good news, had a phone call from crashy woman. She's said she will pay and she didn't realise that she had hit my car. For someone who didn't realise she's very happy to pay.
What a result
Good news
Shame on you crashy woman

So sad to see a cherished car ending up like this - but glad everyone was okay.
Hope you find a great replacement soon.

I like these sort of posts - just what the forum is all about

They are good, but I have found it can attract attension. I came back to one side lifted up in an obvious attempt to see what was inside the car. They are a bit of a pain to take on and off especially when its windy!
This for me when a bought a cover my MR2 - nicked within a month.

Tyre choice

Always run Bridgestones myself - but I'm just a regular commuter who doesn't do track days, mods, spirited drives at the weekend etc.
Would I benefit from a set of MPSS?

I too booked a spin in one around 10 years ago and it was also a bit cramped for me.
Sadly they couldn't get the engine started so I never got to drive it (and it was at a Honda dealership)
