  1. So I have been barking on for some time now about investing in some decent coilovers and have been waiting to see whether or not Demon Tweeks will promote an Easter Sale or discount next weekend.

After regularly checking the prices, today it would appear that the Mono Sports have been reduced from their original listing price of £1296.00 to £1092.00. I can't quite believe it and feel that this may also be a good opportunity for someone else on here

I'm sure that you can find them slightly cheaper elsewhere; although Demon Tweeks are reputable and offer flexible interest free part financing options. Lets just hope that they do not further reduce next weekend!

  2. Well I'd feel terribly short changed if I had paid for a quali ticket today. Horrific regime that results with more in garage action than on the track. Q3 just doesn't work and fans have no idea what's happening on the track.

As predicted terribly disappointing. These strategists are extremely intelligent, how could they not foresee such an obvious issue.

Should have stayed in bed

  3. 2 hours once you know your way around.

Cheers Alex, much quicker than removing the box and trying to install the headers in-situ then. Plus I will be able to use a torque wrench

  4. Firstly how long does it take for a mechanic to remove the DE engine? My old man may be helping me, he just doesn't know yet.

Secondly; What bolt-ons would you suggest whilst it's out?

I will be fitting headers and an uprated clutch with lightened fly. I have the plenum spacer and CAI kit installed. I am now considering pulleys and grounding kit? Anything else within reason? Can't afford major work - cams/pistons etc.

    Thanks

  5. +1 All dependant on your definition of loud.

    I have a similar set up;

K&N Typhoon, decats, cobra y-pipe and scorpion half system. I have also stripped the rear section of the interior and will be purchasing manifolds. Needless to say that I don't find it too 'loud' but I don't drive long distances in it. Quite raspy (probs decats)

  6. Brand new they are pretty pricey, nearly three times the price incl postage. Came very close to purchasing; ultimately put off at the thought of them being thrashed on a race car for 5000 miles

Edit: scrap that; nearly four times the price

  7. My concern with buying used is longevity. As it is labour intensive you wouldn't want to have to replace them after a 1000 miles with a new set. Seems rather expensive for a 5bhp gain.

As for your comment regarding supercharging; I have read that OEM manifolds are pretty poor. Surely the increase in bore and developed design will benefit regardless of your set up? I would have thought that you would gain more if supercharger?

    (BTW I am ASSUMING )

  8. Saw on instagram, looks so sweet.

Wheels are so hard, awesome e30 too

+1 Both awesome machines...325i? Undecided on the over fenders...

cheers man! it was a 318is but now has a m50 2.5 in it! yeh he put the arches on it and decided he hated it haha! so hes taking them off now, but he had to chop the arch so waiting on new arches

Nice; I think that is out of the e34 (another cool machine) right? Shame he had to cut the arches

  9. Many many years ago I was working in Glasgow for a surveying company. We were staying in a B&B and had parked the van which was a nice VW transporter opposite the digs.We awake one morning to find literally a bare shell :). They had totally stripped it including the dash and wood panelling from the rear.

    reminds me of this...

That is horrific! How do these scumbags get away with it!

  10. So I look out of the office window this morning to see this!

The poor little Lupo had a set of replica (presumed) BBS RS alloys that have now been replaced by stone! Can't believe it is still standing!

I presume the owner is unaware given the instability of the makeshift axel stands. He is going to be pi55ed! It is also stuck in a permit zone....

  11. They don't come up in pairs very often. Always had to buy singles when I found they and eventually you make a pair:-)

+1 this is the only way of obtaining bi-xenons at low cost. I had to source one of my headlights from Poland in order to make a pair. Its

Worth taking a punt and remaining patient otherwise you are looking at circa £800 each from Nissan.

    Great price Paul
