  1. Hi all

I'm just after opinions or advice I have a hks true dual exhaust ready to go on to my twin turbo.

However I heard something on a US site or YouTube that said the resonators are no good for boosted vehicles as they get hot! Is this true ?

Bearing in mind the bloke in the video is 16 and hacking apart his exhaust with a jigsaw 😂

  2. Full black leather heated & electric seats. These seats were removed from my low mileage 48k 350z.

They are in excellent condition with no rips or tears in the leather like the usual rubbish for sale. All electrics & heating pads work & checked before removing.

The seats have been cleaned and leather conditioned so ready for there new home. Looking for £350ono think that's about going rate?

  3. Not really to fussed to be honest I'd rather know it's being done properly as opposed to just dumping it locally. shouldn't matter about being that close as if the company specialises in rebuilds etc it's a fairly straightforward job

  4. Hi guys

Managed to source a de engine with a suspected head gasket fault for an absolute steal! Anyways this will be my base engine to have upgraded whilst not loosing mine off the road.

I'm looking for a company to build it preferably close to me so can check on it or be nearby if any problems. I'm currently stock piling the parts to have it built so didn't know if any of you guys could recommend places who will build it and not rape me for the trouble ha

    Thanks in advance

  5. Yes your right Ricky but I do have cruise control at the minute but jez & abbey have said the de ecu isn't big enough to handle the bigger map files for adding switchable maps etc

Was just a thought to see if anyone has done it but guess it's not possible

  6. Thanks for replies guys, don't mean standalone as such. Obviously the de ecu I have currently only has space for the uprev map and that's it. Where as the revup ecu can handle switchable maps and the extra goodies because it has more space.

But I guess it's not possible to swap them over?

  7. Hi guys

Just seeing if a de ecu can be replaced with a revup? I'm currently on a mapped de ecu from horsham but would like the new benefits of the bigger ecu for service mode, anti lag etc

Is this possible or am I better off getting a omex limiter or equivalent ?

  8. Hi ZManalex, these were my thoughts exactly. Before I had my engine built I was really leaning toward a turbo, but since I was having the mapping done at Abbey, I wanted to go with what the tuner would suggest as that is what the tuner would feel comfortable with. I was convinced that a supercharger would be a better route. The US shops that it didn't make sense to have a built engine with a supercharger, but that is what Abbey suggested. In fact, the suggestion was to buy the GTM kit over the Vortech since the Vortech was more agricultural. At that time, I couldn't understand how a shop would have no problem mapping Skylines and GTRs with over 1000hp run on turbos and suggest I run a supercharger over a turbo set-up. This would come a bit more clear as to why later though, but at that time (late 2012-summer 2013) I went with the suggestion of the tuner. Also, I can't remember if SYVECS was around at the time, but I'm running Uprev installed by Abbey. I ended up going with the Vortech, which I'm glad I did since GTM does not exist, and pushed a bit more than standard numbers on a built engine. Since that time, I've had my engine remapped at Horsham and have been going there ever since. I had an alignment done this past summer and brought up the whole supercharger turbo dilemma as I was wondering if could still go the turbo route with a built engine running a 10:1 compression ratio. Jez explained that at that time, the only turbo kits available for this car was for US models therefore, a lot of people did not have experience mapping turbos on these cars as that time as the turbo kits did not fit the UK spec zed straight out of the box.. After I heard that, it made sense as to why I was swayed toward a supercharger back in 2013. Again, not to take away from the original post, Bullen I'm assuming your compression ratio is standard 10:3:1 and if you are running a twin turbo set-up, what turbo kit do you have and what type of torque/hp numbers are you making and peaking at which rpm range?

Yes standard compression currently but obviously will be going lower soon with the forged Pistons & rods.

The kit was originally a JWT TT kit which I kept a few parts but then custom made everything else to fit ie new manifolds, oil lines, water lines, intercooler piping, intake piping etc etc

    I've attached my graphs too
