Ok so my clutch has started to slip in my 350z for anyone else that has had to replace a clutch what did you end up putting in your car?

I have my dad bidding on an Exedy clutch on eBay for me. Does anyone else have an Exedy clutch in their car and if so what do you think?

bah humbug... i dont bother much with christmas.... first rule with me is, if you dont tell me something i can get you, you arent getting anything. this year i have asked for beer, a pint glass, a calendar and a CD, but as been said before if i want anything i normally just go out and buy it myself.

 

i just wish other people would take the same view, since we still have all of last years unwanted presents sitting in the bag they came home in.

 

if in doubt, consumables. In my house we dont have room for any more stuff, anything we want we already have, so just go for beer for me and chocolates and wine for her and we're both sorted.

Fair enough but we don't live together I'm sure we will put a stop to it when we have bills to pay etc

Im very hard to buy for because if i want something I just go out & buy it. What i do try and do is restrain myself before xmas and just give the missus a list. So for example last year I got some pliers, welding rods, mole grips, rachet spanners (wicked) etc.. This year im getting a new cordless power drill - although its anoying having to wait as my old one is on deaths door and making DIY jobs hard atm! I also usually get socks, underwear, a few books, bottle of whisky and a terrys orange. And thats more than enough for me!

 

The missus is just has difficult to buy for. This year i went out and spent £400 on a kitchenaid mixer like they have on the TV food programs as I remembered she mentioned earlier in the year she`d like one. Now she tells me I can buy her a £15 hand mixer instead if im struggling to get her anything as its just as good. Sigh!

I do ask what do you want but I never get a sensible answer its always and X5 or M3 I get told ATM and all those tools I wouldn't have a clue if he needed any

toilet seat (she made me fit it on xmas day strangely)

tumble dryer (really pushed the boat out on that one)

spare part for vacuum cleaner (strangely, I had to fit that one on xmas day too)

1 quality street (no not a box full.......moment on the lips and all that)

 

there are a few more, but can't remember them off the top of my head

A toilet seat!! Now that made me laugh

It's our 30th wedding anniversary next year and 34 years together. Now that's when thinking of pressies is DIFFICULT....... (and being male as well, that makes it even more difficult)

Seriously!! Lol I thought I might off got easier

34 years that is a very long time

He just sold his private plate of the jeep he would like a two digit one but I'm afraid my bank balance says no.

I've been with my partner for three years and I'm running out of ideas he is car mad like us all and usually I always buy for his P1 Subaru or drift car but the P1 is long gone and the drift car is up for sale so really no point in getting something for it. So yea what does everyone get their partner?

+1 for the autogylm super resin polish I done my car yesterday and it looks great. Just a wee silly tip make sure the wax is room temp before application as it doesn't like this cold weather it will be very hard to apply. I used Valentino wax or race glaze. Happy cleaning

Not wanting to take away your "man fame moment" but don't most petrol stations have a supply of water in a watering can...

I just hate the though of liquids leaking in my car even if it is just water. Lol

Just a wee update, after some great advise from ZMANALEX and getting some parts of him it was indeed the compression rod ball joint so thankfully all is fixed and I'm a happy girl again :-)

Pugs are great little dogs if socialised properly they are very friendly, they don't require a major lot of grooming the same way hairier dogs do but if you don't want hit with silly vet bills get he/she insured 😄

Yep but it's usually the other end of the banana bar that fails first, and this necessitates renewal of the complete bar ... Zmanalex will sort it out for you I'm sure.

Hi everyone,

I have had my 350z about two months now and I have fallen in love absolutely great cars.

However I have a problem, she has developed a knocking noise from the front passenger side it only makes the noise as the road gets a bit rough but it sounds awful and is getting louder. There is no noise on smooth roads motorways etc also no noise when turning corners all that is ok it is just when as I said the road gets a bit rough but it does sound bad :-(

So things that I have done:

Both drop links have been replaced with new ones.

I have replaced the suspension bushes

I have replaced the shock

Any other ideas as none of these have solved the problem?

My mechanic has completely stripped the car down and nothing is standing out.

My car is a 2004 GT blue with 36k (gorgeous colour I may add) :-)

I plan to keep this car for a very very long time and I'm a bit of a perfectionist as I'm sure all of you are too so any fed back will be greatly appreciated as I'd love to get this sorted as soon as possible.
