  1. I'd like the above and I am prepared to custom build if required. I can strip out the old Bose unit if need be or run two seperate units. Ideally I'd like a single head unit which will: Constantly record a front-camera (drilled and neatly hidden in the dash); Sat-Nav; Play radio and connect with steering wheel controls; Turn to rear camera when in reverse, no need to record rear camera. What's the best way for me to go about this? I do not want a stick on windscreen dash-cam. I want it to switch on and off when the vehicle is switched on. Grateful of any guidance.
  2. If they can paint flames and graphics, I'm sure someone will be able to do what you desire.
  3. Seems pretty good, I just finished my own. Cost me just under £100 for the paint, 2k Laquer, sundries etc. Took me a good two days of work and an absolute pain in the buttocks. If it's under £350 it's not worth the aggravation.
  4. Thanks Randy, glad my scepticism was warranted. This Pioneer AVH-H5600BT HU looks pretty good and looks like it has a Satnav app, though may work out expensive on the tethering and download limit on the mobile phone. Doubt one would get speed camera updates on it also.
  5. TomTom Rider 2nd edition fits into the cubbyhole snuggly, however no room to fit a charger so you need to make sure it's well charged.
  6. Hey guys, I posted a thread approximately one year ago seeking some advice for my requirements: A new digital Head Unit with Bluetooth to connect Iphone 5 and emails etc load on screen and play mp3s; Decent Sat Nav; Reverse Camera; Retain steering wheel controls; Optional but preferred: Front Camera - that will record as surveillance (would like the reverse also to record); Someone recommended a car PC, however I am a little sceptical on this as SatNav software varies in quality and I had an old PDA when they first came out and the SatNav software was terrible. I also prefer Macs if possible however there does not seem to be any info on SatNav software for Mac. I would prefer a single screen, to replace the Bose system as I think two screens may look a little too much. I was going to replace the Bose Head Unit, is this a single or double din? I have the cubbyhole at the top. Others recommended the http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-jvc-kw-av70bt_p-27469.htm so I may do that, or a Pioneer HU. I see Pioneer do this add-on SatNav thingy http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/111/241/AVIC-F260/page.html. I have no idea on the wiring, but have read quite a few threads on here. My budget is £800 for supply and fitting, but I am willing to do myself if I get organised. Grateful of any guidance.
  7. My car's been out of action for five weeks waiting for the part to come from Japan. My Mechanic informs me that every 10 days he's called up and Nissan keep putting it back ten days. Probably because they are waiting for ten orders of that part to come in then they have it made as the part is most likely discontinued as Nissan are stricter than us on the emissions. Does anyone know where I can get the above part fairly soon? Had enough of waiting for Nissan.
  8. Thanks Bounty, that car looks amazing. PC looks good, I'm a little worried about fitting it though. I'm gonna take a look at the different car pc's available. I've only just started researching. Saw one on youtube and pc had a small pen to select everything on screen. I couldn't have that, I want to be able to use my fingers; looks like your pc is like this .
  9. Thanks for your replies guys, greatly appreciated . I don't know what to do at the moment. I'm terrified of buying something that is useless. I would still like the telephone to come through the speakers and car system as the quality on that is very good and I've never had anyone complain about the conversation. Like to be able to use the steering wheel controls to control volume and answer etc. Rabster I had a look for your build thread, but couldn't manage to find anything .
  10. Hi guys, after just getting a Milltek exhaust and bearing in mind I still love my Z as from the first day I got it I've decided I'm going to be keeping it for a fair few more years and I think the car needs updating. It still looks mint and the only thing letting it down is sat-nav. I have a cubby-hole where sat-nav should be and I have an Iphone 5 and Ipod classic and I want to be able to use them properly in the car. I would love it if a sms message would come up on the screen when received, or even emails. I currently have bluetooth with the bose system. Essentials of what I want: Sat Nav; Rear View Camera; Iphone 5, Ipod Classic integration; Ability to receive directions and listen to music at same time; Speed Camera detection; Not Essential but a bonus: TV; DVD; The option of a front camera also and to record all activity on your journey; this is incase any idiot comes crashing into me and we have to go to court; I don't know whether to go for and if it is an option: 1: Seperate sat-nav in cubbby, with bose replaced with a head-unit so I can have directions come through whilst listening to music; 2: One whole new unit in the cubby (if this is even possible) and just linking to the bose where and if needed? Budget: I can do a little soldering and be alright with the physical stuff, but will struggle on what port to port etc. I see a great guide on here for an 07 but mine is an 05. But with a mental breakdown and the help of you great guys I think I'd be able to do it. I see that the JVC unit is popular and available for £300, cameras are peanuts . As I say I'm keeping the car and be prepared to spend £1,000 on this item including fitting (if it's riddiculously hard). Any input is greatly welcomed .
  11. Thank you for your comments; please note I NEEDED A FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM; just like the title suggested . All sorted now. Thank you for your suggestion. Regards
  12. Anyone else got any recommendations for a FULL SYSTEM :1: ? Prefer if price quoted is for a full system from the start lol, no offence cs .
  13. Thanks, so a full exhaust system is £594.00.
  14. Thanks, I presume the cars standard has a 'cat back system'????
  15. Thanks CS, are you sure you do the cobra for £395? It looks like two parts of the exhaust, and the y pipe for an additional £200 or am I reading it wrong? Regards
  16. Anyone have any recommendations on cheap exhausts. As forewarned by others on forum I had left it too late for this. Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap full exhaust system? Not after stainless; cheap and cheerful.
  17. Thanks, why don't car's come with optimum settings? Given it's a highly competitive market and you would've thought they would be trying to be the best they can be? Sorry to go off topic there, just got into a deep thought lol.
  18. Thanks, they're miles from me unfortunately, must be someone more local. Does anyone recommend a remap, would I see a noticeable difference in fuel economy?
  19. Thanks, I am not interested in a custom system, I just need a cheap, quiet exhaust. I've got a guy round the corner who is good, but I was thinking of a remap, though it seems no one recommends getting one.
  20. Yes I would like to have it fitted this Saturday if possible. Concerned about how loud it is as I don't want a loud system. How much for full exhaust supplied and fitted. Can you do my fan belts also, and is it worth a remap?
  21. Hi guys, I posted on here a while back about a stainless system, but I've changed my mind to a cheaper exhaust now, through the advice of others as I've had the car six years, it is likely I will replace in the coming years. I would like a fairly cheap exhaust, not loud apart from when you are really caning it. I am thinking of having it tuned (ecu remap or whatever they call it nowadays) to improve fuel consumption. Is it worth it, who can recommend someone to do it, and where? I am in Romford, Essex, don't want to travel massive distances and would appreciate if the area has wi-fi and office as I can do some work whilst waiting to be fitted. I would like to come down Saturday 8 December, greatful for any input. Also I need a couple of fans changed, air conditioning fan, and the other fan belt as when serviced a couple of months ago it was noted they need replacing, could the recommended person see to them too? Regards Dal
  22. Thank you very much for your recommendation guys.
  23. I'm just in the process of looking for a full stainless steel exhaust system, and might as well have it re-mapped for power and fuel economy, plus beautiful sound of new exhaust (hopefully) . I've got a good mechanic, but just thinking might get a better deal if I get the remap to install the new exhaust? If this is the case, can anyone recommend a firm for these works in the South East London, Essex area?

    P3 Estimate

OP I just got my P3 service, I think my oils came to about £100 (roughly); engine oil, gear box oil, diff oil. Spark plugs and Ferrodo front pads came to £100, and I got some discs for £60 each at front (£120). Labour came to about £200 I think. Mechanic was good. As I supplied parts the mechanic called me about the diff oil and wasn't sure on its grade; so rather than throwing it in there he phoned around and referred to specs (as manual does not have exact grade for diff oil). Seriously pleased with him and would recommend; he's based in Romford, Essex incase that's close to you. I didn't even call Nissan; not happy with their previous services so didn't even call.
