Not sure what pads are fitted to be honest, i don't think it states in my paperwork i got with the car, but the sounds I'm getting are as if the ABS is trying to lock unlock or similar as Ekona pointed out.
Its due work soon, so will get it looked at just in case
Cheers

Sounds like the pads sticking to the discs after raining or washing to me.
Thanks
Yes was a wet day today, i thought it felt like something locking up.
Doesn't sound too serious then

Hi all
Not sure of appropriate thread title, but on a few occasion's i've had a strange noise from the brakes.
I'm certain its only happened when starting off from cold, although it happened today after being parked for about an hour and a half.
So the noise I'm getting is as if the ABS is kicking in but just the noise and not actual juddering you can feel.
Both times its been dry or damp conditions and not icy, and driving slow.
After it has done it, braking after woods is fine, also taken on a quiet road and tested proper and that was fine.
So its either really just a patch of greasy road or i have an issue.
Thought i would post it up anyway, and feel it should be checked out.
The car had new Discs and pads all round last September.
Cheers all

Thanks to Skidder & MrChic for the info. Had the blinking light since the interior was cleaned last weekend and it is rather annoying. Quick ignition/key dance just now and all is good. I also pulled the seat forward and jiggled the connectors - found some nice Elizabeth Juke playboy jewellery too - that the misses' Christmas present sorted
Just did the ignition key dance too, as in the video by Skidder although i had to do five on and off's lol. Light now off
Didn't Goldie looking chain mention Elizabeth Juke jewellery in one of there songs

I tend to supply certain bits to the garage myself, not just because i
saves money but because I can select which oil etc I want. Specialists will have the good stuff in anyway, it's the other 'run of the mill' garages that I would personally supply my own bits to.
So i should double check things like what oil they would use etc
-
I'm quite lucky to have found a nice garage local to me, and i'm very confident with them.
I buy all my stuff from ECPs except oil I get a better deal elsewhere but I do service my car myself. When I didnt service the car myself the garage never minded but if your happy to pay for it and have no hastle do that.
-
Hi
Just wondered if there was any mileage in buying Oil or any other items typically used during a service from places like Europarts when they are on offer.
Do you save enough to make it worth while, and do garages mind you taking your own products?
I'm not overly confident of buying my own stuff, and tend to let the garage deal with it anyway.
Thanks

I've got Vredestein Ultra Sessanta's on mine at the moment, the tread pattern looks cool but I'm afraid that's about it, got about 9k out of them so far and the remaining grip is virtually non-existent, Michelin PS2's for me next I think.
Thought they were top rated on here.

Camskill are doing an offer when buying two or more Michelin 17 " and above tyres
£50 Fuel gift card
On Blackcircles.com you can pay monthly, cost more in the end though
Tesco clubcard points too, which i've claimed before

Quite possible lol, i do tend to fumble around with the switches and lock unlock doors by mistake.
My excuse is i've only had car now 3 months
will check tomorrow
Thanks

Hi Guys
My passenger window stopped working today, so nothing at all using the switch. Auto seal still works when opening/closing
I've read about on here about the reset switch which seems to be the one to try.
Anything else to try before stripping the door down.
Thanks

That stuff is mentioned alot on Detailing world

You have no problem with running with that? Years back when I used to be a valeter the dressing for plastics always used to run when It rained etc
Sorry its actually called Bumper care, but its quite old and that link is probably a new version.
On my last Saab i used it on the wing mirror housings and came up great. they were really grey.
I detail a bit, and polishes and other products get on those places.

Bet it shook you up, i'm always trying to drum it into my five year old about road safety, as when ever we cross a road he's not paying attention.
Glad nothing happened.
