hes on the money yeah its an import, 5-5.5 kpa, why the changed it from psi i dont know. i think im gonna look at compression testing then get a garage to stick the camera in just to be safe, worst comes to worst like it has been said buy a 2nd hand engine fit that and break the one i have im sure theirs some people that would want cylinder heads an so on for forged builds

Well on start up she get to about 2k an comes down slowly holds around 5-5.5 on oil pressure, and was sat for 6 months doing nothing, when I got it in a state to test it she fired 1st time, she don't sound noisy, had it running a bit longer yesterday and didn't see any smoke so weather it's where it was stood I dunno, but gonna do the oil change get a compression test done an take Baby steps from their,, if the rings are naff won't take long to strip an fix as long as I don't need to bore it out, gives me a reason to clean up the engine,

I will drop the old stuff out an change it, shall look for any crap in the oil, But from what I've seen it don't seam to bad of an engine to work on I would do all the stripping down just get a friend to resit the pistons an torque the heads down,

I bought it as a project, just got all the body work up together, Their is a small bit of smoke but it's not blue, engine is not that nosey its self, and the old oil it's as black as the ace of spades, So doing the oil will be next see what happens N hey if it blown just a reason to go forged I don't know what the previous own drove like or for how long but I'm gonna get a compression test done soon

As above I dipped the oil on the car the other day and it stank of petrol!!! But through the filler cap smells normal, any thoughts on what it could be? Oil pressure reads 5 ish on the gauge The car does need an oil change but is this something to worry about, I was told could have blown rings when I got it But it sounds fine when it's running apart from where I don't have the rear lambda sensors it it's a bit loud Any thoughts are welcome

I think I will pull the alarm out find the model and temp wire the trigger wire to the solenoid See if I get any joy, It's just weird how linking the switch out has no effect either, which I should make it work

Hi all, when I fitted the catch for my boot release I didn't have a Battery on the car so couldn't test it, now I have power, I can't get it to open via the switch by the number plate. I had it all apart yesterday, an using a battery charger ran 12v through the switch and tested it with A voltmeter, the switch seams to only work one way around, but when it's all connected it dosent work, I also linked out the switch to basically simulate the switch being pressed nothing happened, but when I linked it to neg the solenoid work on the release mech? Anyone got some ideas??? The car has got an aftermarket alarm fitted, I dunno if it's worth seeing if I can wire the boot release to that? An by pass the switch? Any thoughts are welcome Thanks Jon

Door has been repaired an painted and fitted up just waiting on Hinges so I can fit the thing Y pipe and cats were collected from penarth yesterday So I shall soon be able to see if the rings are gone But surly if they r the knock sensor will stop it running???

a few more bits fitted this weekend managed to get a 2nd hand rad panel and got it fitted makes such a difference with it fitted also got the boot catch fitted but the switch by the number plate lights dosent work checked all connections and the solenoid front drivers side wing went on a dream just nedd to get it painted and could some one tell me what this is for i assume its something to do with the sat-nav i also got the little box fitted to control the heaters so slowly but surely its coming together, just need some head-lights but im unsure if their is a difference with the jdm and uk spec lights? as i ahve been reading some topics and its a bit confussing

Ok so swap out the bit where the screen fits and find the cubby hole bit for it

As I have been reading about the issues with import Nav, you have to change the unit behind the drivers seat. But what screen also fit? As mine dosent have one and I don't Want to force the lid down to hide the whole And I'm unsure weather it's the one with the remote or the control Panel by the screen Help???

As far as I no everything is back together an plugged in. No just standard air box, where Is the sender end to?

i have had it all apart and put eberything back together but i suppose it wont hurt to rip it all apart again to try and fix it

Has just picked up a japseed back box To be fitted on the weekend so I also have 2 oem exhausts to get rid of Both need a small weld down by the flange

But the misses sported he had the illusive heater ecu thing That I'm missing for £60 and the wing I need for 50£ So got them but everything else Jesus rip off 23£ for the battery plastic cover

I messaged him about the drivers side door loom knowing That is not that big, he wanted £50 just for that and £90 each for the plastics that go up the side of the winscreen an over the roof !!!
