  1. sorry to see this happen, hope you get it sorted soon and with no disputes.

Good job the saxo was there to take the brunt of it in all honesty. Yours would definitely have been written off if it hadn't.

I've only just noticed that my name isn't on this although I did confirm on the November thread.

  3. Just repeat to yourself what you said yesterday,

"I'm not interested in external mods"

"I'm not interested in external mods"

"I'm not interested in external mods"

"I'm not interested in external mods"

If you wanted to re-establish the looms then zmanalex has them but obviously you would be using chocolate blox to connect where you have had it severed but then your connections would need doing on your lights again.

Personally I would drink some gin and forget you ever read this thread.

  4. The camera missed it. I was drifting round that corner too, but the camera missed that aswell. Plus all the tyre smoke cleared really quickly. Honest. :teeth:

If there was going to be any smoke it would have been coming of Octets fronts!

  5. That part you're looking is the wrong part. You have that on your OEM rears. What you need/are missing is the black bit at about 2 minutes into that video. It slips into the bulb holder.

yep that would be a bonus if I could find some of those but I guess they will be rarer than hens teeth. Considering the manufacturer of them is in America I could contact them directly and see if I get any joy from a spares perspective.

but before I do that, PM firing to Alex

I wish the guy that fitted them to my car took so much care.

It isn't too much bother really, and will be all the more rewarding once done. That last bit is a lie...I want them now!!!!!

But really I expected a bit of fudging, I just want it to be a fairly neat piece of fudging!

  6. on the off chance that someone has been rear eneded and kept their old lights.

I've got some Depo LED lights that I'll be fitting to the car but the connectors look to have been spliced in the past to a car and I'd rather not cut into my loom in case I go back to stock.

So I'm after the housing that OEM bulb goes into so that I can modify that to make my set plug and play

here is my current loom with the depo connectors

here is a photo borrowed from jetset and highlighted to show the bit I'm actually interested in

Hopefully someone will have some of these knocking around the dusty corners of a garage

  7. Wow, that is some odd fitment on that headlight. It wasn't meant as an attack on yours and just a example of what you were saying about not everyone being a fan. I may have come off harsh but that wasn't the intention.

with your examples it proves the point about subjective viewpoints. I like the look of it in the ebay link you posted more than the first pic,. Amazing what a difference the headlights/less colour splash/vortex generator to spoiler give to the overall look to me... but that is just to me. If everones tastes were the same life would be boring.

  8. Yes fine if done right. Not everyone on here a fan of them.

The problem with that one in your picture is that it just looks like someone has gone "What can I buy for a 350z?" and then purchased everything and stuck it all on. Too much and the less said about the headlight covers the better.

I don't mind the veilside kit if done right, I just don't think that one is particularly good. The one in the ebay link looks nicer. Sometimes less is more.

    It is all subjective anyway.

  9. I like the idea but can help but laugh at the marketing blurb

    From that website...

"Now you can experience the full potential of your 350Z on the street, strip or track."

    followed later by...

" The Smooth Line Hardtop only weighs approximately 35-40 lbs and is easy to handle"

So feel the full potential by making your car heavier

This next line would stop any potential purchase..

"The Smooth Line 350Z removable Hardtop accentuates the low silhouette of the Z with an extended roof line for a “Bad Boy†attitude "
