  1. I've also got one that you could use as a guinea pig for a refurb before taking your existing one off you could have that one for a tenner...as a super friendly forum price. You can see the old one in my build thread.

  2. I would also look to the Honda range but look to the new shape Accord 2.2, it is a hugely different car to its predecessor even if it looks similar. I think it is what we will get as Tracy's next car and would be a superb motorway muncher. Given how many miles you are doing I wouldn't worry about taking on a high mileage unit within reason. After a few years you are going to make it a super high mileage anyway so you may as well let someone else already take the hit on high mileage depreciation as you will suffer the depreciation anyway.

  3. My 2005 GT4 is on 141K I win.......

    Sorry, 187k on 04

187k :o how does it feel after that many miles? that's three times the mileage of my car!

Feels great, never given me any cause for concern in the time I've had it and I keep up just fine at the meets ;) . I reckon I'll be across 200,000 in 2 years or so. I might bake it a cake at that point

  4. Can't view the youtube clip for some reason but I also have an electronic whine in mine as well even when the radio is off. Nothing much but my ears can pick it up. Not everyone can hear high frequency sounds though.

I thought it must be normal. And put it down to the electronics for the rear speakers.

  5. I can only talk about it from a relatively new owners perspective of 2 years+. I've now done the lakez twice and Wales once. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the events i've been to but the driving in Wales tops the experience list so far.

From what I've seen, Wales each year gets fully booked in a few days and people are eager to sit on a reserve list on the mere chance of getting to it.

To me that shows that the format can't be that tired as demand out strips supply. With the amount of new owners cropping up on the site it would be a shame for them to miss out on a national gathering to drive on our own exceptional roads.

That is why if we had to lose Wales then I think it should alternate with another national event such as the suggested hoon.

Given that Wales used to be twice a year and that an international drive would (possibly) attract smaller numbers, couldn't that be run separate to wales/other? That way the people who are tired of it would still have something to look forward to as a major meet and could drop out of the Wales meet thereby freeing up a space for someone who is still yet to experience it.

  6. Judging from the noise the woman at the front were making I'd guess it is on the back of her bedroom door or ceiling!

Hope you get it sorted out ok, wouldn't want any sourness after what they did. Wish I could help but I don't even know anyone with an A2 scanner

2 owners on mine before me and the last one even added a supercharger still only done 15k - Thanks Darren

you wouldn't described those 15K miles as sedate motorway driving though would you? I'm pretty sure the next 15K will be fun as well
