  1. This is the big one, the problem is that even flickr can't handle the resolution and downgrades it from 3840x2160 to 2048x1152. You'll have to click through to get to the larger images

I'll add it in in the low res as well plus another back shot

  2. Ah right, maybe that's why then, I'll be interested to see the high res images.

In the photo mode can you adjust things like the angle of the wheels, headlights or sidelights on etc and also change to various filters, focal lengths, shutter speeds and apertures?

Wheels: Yes in a sense as you can take a photo at any point in the game so you can position your wheels while panning the camera round and then enter photo mode.

Lights: nope, no dark scenes in forza so no lights.

Filters seem quite basic but yes to all focal lengths/speeds/apertures/

I'll try for something special tonight then.

  3. I only took the 0.9 megapixel photos. I'll nab a full size 8.9 megapixel one tonight. There is a lot of the photo mode that I havent touched on yet.

The test track where i did the shadow ones isn't a good map for background quality. You can even see a texture mismap on the background hills. I'll find another location for the shadow shot...there must be another location that dark. Maybe the amalfi coast

I love the feel of Forza4, especially with the force feedback wheel i've got. Great fun and there is a rewind button when I get it wrong!

Need to spend some time editing my car as for realism i need to make the front bumper look like it has been gritted.

  4. If anyone else wants to have a go with they're Zed in GT or Forza, post them on this thread and we can compare

Ok I've gone for trying to make a car that looks like mine....pretty easy as mine is stock gt!

  5. it makes me love the zed even more to he honest , knowing that they could possibly out live a turtle. your is minted mate.

also there is a blue tooth adapter for sale in the trading section

wow that adapter went quick! The topic isn't even there!

Hope it all goes well tomorrow.

I'll have to take a couple of photos of the front bumper as the photos don't show the state of it. Looks like it has travelled 172K miles following a lorry on a pebble beach. Amazing how much like it has just rolled off the production line in the photos. Getting some prices for a spray. not in any rush though really as i love it warts an all!

after owning for 10 days I've picked up on a couple of issues.

    1) Subwoofer cutting out randomly. I searched and found the solution here so need to find some time to look at the relays.

    2) Very minor oil leak appeared recently on drive (looks like about 6 drips every 16 hours). Will be in the garage soon so will be sorted.

    3) Parking sensor cable is on show under bumper (visble on rear photo above). Not sure what it should tie to yet.

    4) Drivers door shows signs of a couple of mm sag. Need to get it adjusted as it is annoying me. Anybody have any experience with adjusting it?

None of these spoil what has been the most fun I've had driving to work and to golf. Everyone who I haven taken out in it loves it and at least 4 strangers have spoken to me about it...incredible reactions. I can't stop smiling when I drive it. Best car decision I have ever made.

  6. ment to ask as well, since the car has good miles on it, did it come with a good history. it would be intreasting to find out what needed relaced and when. or what the most commons things have been. theres a few phone bluetooth adapters on shebay just now.. the going rate seems to be around 60 quid for them

just looked at my post, and corretced it so it could be understood in english

April '04 Car was registered with

    metalic paint

12 months tax (£160!!! Those were the days)

    Rear parking sensors

    Entry guards

    Luggage net

    tax disc holder

    Mats

    Leather Diamondbrite

18K had the tonneau cover fitterd

    66K replaced OSF window motor

99K had both drive belts replaced

132K Had platinum spark plugs replaced

138K the off side front window motor failed again costing a stupid amount of cash.

140K exhaust was replaced with the Powerflow unit

149K The heatshield above rear exhaust adrift

165K o/s rear anti roll link.

    172K replaced battery

Currently has wear to the n/s anti roll link and needs front discs and pads all round

I have ignored the usual consumable items of pads and tyres. Car has been serviced by Nissan every 9-10,000 miles.

As for aging fuel economy...I'm still getting used to driving it but yesterday I did a run into leicestershire and had it on cruise control. At 70mph with a couple of miles of 50mph roadworks I reached 33.7 MPG before hitting the country lanes and having some fun.

Is there anything that surprises any of you that either i've had done or anything that the car hasn't had happen to it that you would expect to fail?

  7. welcome, its brillint to see a zed with some decent miles on it, looks great. you will love it. the forum is great, full of info and any parts you might need. i got the bluetooth adapter of the forum and bought a phone cradle. but when tryinh to figure out the cables , found another phone cradle under the centre console. so if you dont have a phone cradle il have one for sale, for much cheapness.. welcome again and all the best

Thanks, I have the cradle with a nokia 6310i adapter (i think) in the centre console. I'll keep my eyes on the trading section.

You might find this 200k miles thread interesting in the US.

    http://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissa ... -club.html

Their website is down at the moment! What is it with 350z websites at the mo? :) I'll defo have a read of that...be nice to see what other good/bad experiences have been.

As I'll only be doing aroung 6000 miles a year I'll eventually have that mileage looking average! By eventually I mean another 10 years!

  8. If poss I always try and park next to either a brand new car or a very expensive one..... I figure they wont want to ding their car against mine

That might not always work though. It might just be an expensive label they don't care about. :surrender:

Plus you never know that the expensive car isn't just a company benefit that they don't care about in the slightest. I do think it is safer though as most people are sensible.

I also have a tendancy to attract the MPV's. You get back to your car and see the baby car seat on the back seats and know they'll have opened their door fully to get their kids out. I understand that people need to but can't understand why they park so close??? I thought that maybe my cars are magnetic and people are drawn towards it.

  9. Is it normal to find myself parking as far away from every living soul on any car park???

I'm currently parking in positions where no one has any requirement to take a shortcut by walking between my car and another. With the weather yesterday it meant I got wet to walk to the shops but a brolly is cheaper than a scratch!

  10. It will be an interesting first 12 months as I find out any niggles. You can all use me as a benchmark of how your cars will age!

Yes, the previous owner was a star, it has the GT pack and the rays as you can see but he also added on the original invoice the tonneau cover, the luggage net, aluminium kick plates and even the optional magnetic tax disc holder! The only aftermarket item I'm aware of is the Powerflow exhaust, sounds super.

Trying to get my garmin satnav to sit still in the area where the satnav option could go. It picks up a signal in there and that suprised me!

Things that i need to learn:

    1) There is a 6th gear that I can use

    2) Cruise control will save fuel instead of the smile inducing right pedal

    3) Not to park too close to other cars as the doors open up wider than I think

  11. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Obviously for a high miler it does have a couple of issues that I'll be looking at soon, Firstly is the stone chips across the nose of which there are plenty especially shown with the Azure paint. Then I have a slight tear on the bolster of the drivers side, which I was expecting. The money I save on cutting out the dealerships will go towards sorting these out. Well that is after the service and replacing the brakes. Then I need to treat myself to the bluetooth adapter.

Other than that it looks like it has been well cared for. As I mentioned the documentation I have is staggering... I even have the original invoice so I can see all of the options it had installed. The brochures, accessory guides, a 24hour diary of a test drive, roads to go and visit in the UK to get to know the 350z. I spent the first night reading for around 3 hours!

  12. Hi everyone

Just thought I should sign up and say hello. I've been looking around this site over the last 11 months lusting over all of your cars whilst I've agonised over when to buy a 350z myself. I promised myself and my wife that I would only buy one if the lust disapeared...it didn't and 2 days ago I picked up my car.

It is hard to put into words just how thrilled I am to have one and be part of the experience!

Looking forward to learning more about my car and getting to know you all while hopefully not bothering you with too many stupid questions.

I've attached a piccie, sorry as it is off an awful blackberry but better than nothing. I'm sure I'll stick some more on here once I get it polished.

    post-10171-135011923554_thumb.jpg

Actually I do have a question already while I have you reading....The car has full nisssan service history and I have every receipt for everything it has ever had done (I even have all of the original brochures and Nissan reprinted magazine articles). Do you think I should continue this trend or have it serviced by the same local mechanic I've used and trusted for years? Does it make sense to keep the Nissan history up in order to keep some kind of value added to the car or is it a false economy?

The key facts here are that the car has now done 172,000 and I don't see me selling it for many years so does the residual value of servicing really matter?

Sorry that was three questions in my first post.... :ban:
