I went last year with a few lads from Zclub, we stayed at this place which turned out to be superb. I can highly recommend it. http://hotel-an-der-nordschleife.de/hotel/index.php Next to the hotel they have a purpose built apartment block with multi bed apartments (if you dont mind sharing) the apartments are modern, spotless clean with a big bathroom, clean towels everyday, TV and tea/coffee facilities. breakfast is served in the main hotel building. its located right next to the Breidscheid bridge and the half lap entrance, its only a short drive to the full lap entrance. each apartment has patio doors with table and chairs, parking right outside and a view of the track from the patios, get an upstairs apartment and the view is obviously better still. you can sit outside in the early evening boozing and watching the late runners round the track. there is 2 big supermarkets and about 4 restaurants and a couple of bars right outside the hotel..... -

New Toy motor GT. They seemed to be making comparisons between the original 2000GT and the new 2000GT. to be honest there like chalk and cheese, the only bit they share is the badge. the original 2000GT was an upmarket car, beautifully styled, well appointed and expensive thats why they sold so few. the new 2000GT is a cut price no frill's lets sell millions plasticfest thats been platform shared with a Scooby to make it cheaper still. and that became more obvious when I looked at the Scooby equivalant as it is identical except for the badge. I thought they would have had subtle changes to separate the 2 cars but I couldnt see any. I dont understand the marketing plan with that although it will definately appeal to the younger buyer.

I went to the last Geneva show 2 years ago as it's a bi-annual show with Frankfurt. That was my first and last visit, after the madding crowd that was there I said I wouldnt bother this year. But memories fade after 2 years so I subjected myself to it again today and if the last show was packed, this one was Uber packed..! I thought we were still in the midst of a recession but you would never know if you had been there today. It was packed to the point were it took the enjoyment out of it and trying to take pics was really difficult but still managed to get loads. The problem with Geneva is it so accessable from any where in Europe and as its so central you can take a morning flight from just about anywhere in Europe 2 hours tops, walk across the road from the airport to the show then fly back home that night. its well set up with car parks an ferry buses to and from the show running continuously, The car manufacturers know all that and thats why its the top European show. but I really dont think I would go again (defo this time) I was gonna try Frankfurt last year but couldnt find the time but I may see If I can do it next year, it may be easier than Geneva. So heres Buckaroos top tips for anyone ever thinking of going to Geneva Auto Salon.: 1. Go on a weekday as it must be less packed. 2. make sure you buy your ticket on line (thankfully I did) because if you try to pay at the show you will lose the will to live. 3. get to the show as soon as the doors open at 9:00am, grab a copy of the floorplan as you go in and head straight for the supercars first and take your piccys, leave it till 11:00am and you will be crushed in the madding crowd and stand no chance. 4. there is no No 4. 5. travel light with just a small man bag, dont be a **** and wear a rucksack or you may end up with a black eye. 6. stay at home.

Welcome. Any tips? Hi there, well I'm not going to read all 47 pages of this thread as I suspect its full of tales of ten baggers tomorrow.. and ouch I'm underwater.. type posts. but looking back through the last few pages it looks like your already on the case of anything I could suggest. My AIM portfolio (some have now moved to the main market) consists of: PRL Polo res AST Ascent res RRL Range res TRP Tower Res HMB Hambledon mining VML vane minerals AYM Anglesey mining AVN Avanti comms ULT Ultrasis TAN Tanfield CRA Corac SRT Software radio tech IDG I Design OCG Oxford catalysts IQE IQE but I'm a long term investor, looking through the recent posts I get the feeling that most of the guys are looking for the fast buck. therefore the only one's I could see getting lucky in the near term are: RRL TRP All the rest are making slow progress or no progress but I live in hope..

your post title says Stocks and shares Isa's but the product you attach is whats called a structured product and that is slightly different. reading through it the investment is still held in an Isa wrapper and therefore any gains would be tax free. But putting gains and losses aside, according to the the investment it could terminate and pay out at any of the anniversary's. therefore provided I've understood it correctly whenever it terminates you would have to take your original investment back out, that may suit you if you have a short term investment strategy. but if your looking for long term gains a conventional stocks and shares Isa would possibly be better as you can make the annual contribution every year up to the limit for that year and you decide when you take the money out. on the plus side this investment does offer some shielding towards downturns in the markets. I've held a structured product investment in the form of a guaranteed equity bond linked to an index (guaranteed to pay back at least the original investment) which was a 3.5 year term and it matures this Summer. due to the state of the markets over the last 3.5 years the index is currently sitting lower than when I first invested but at least I will get back my original investment. My advice would be, not to take any of my advice or that of any one else on a car forum where it concerns your money and go and chat with a independant financial adviser, he will talk you through the various financial products available and explain the risks..
