You might have more success if you posted this in 350Z Technical section, rather than the Member Traders section.

Quoted £940 by your quick quote. Double what other insurers offer.

OK Bud. Will bear that in mind. Only thing is I'm having to use finanace for half the payment. So probably be a no go for me with a private buyer. Also, just to mention, I ideally wanted a white or a black one. Not quite as keen on silver or blue. Thanks.
With loan rates at around 3%, you don't need car finance and opens up a whole other market of privately sold cars.
That poor Zed looks like its never had any love. Dirty, grubby dusty, stone chipped to death, look elsewhere IMO.
On another note, full service history doesn't mean a correctly followed schedule, so that car may have a FSH, it's just been under serviced.

Sand it, prime it, paint it, done.

Measure the size and find one that fits. There are hundreds of different size cone filters, you’ll find one to fit.

Those flanges look excellent. Hurry up and get decats made up

Most exhausts have a silencer somewhere, who’s to say it’s not a cat?

I'd love to decat mine, how do you guys pass MOT haha
Just send her in. It still passes the NI emissions test and they’ve never mentioned not being able to find them

Grab 4 and do your brakes at the same time

I’ve thought about headers, but they’re pretty awkward to change and I dread to think of one failed having to change one all over again. Apparently it’s best to remove the gearbox to gain access, so maybe I’ll wait until I need a new clutch. It’s possible with the box in place, just much harder.

Yea, need new decats at the moment, though, got a pinhole in one.

You can have mine for £2999.99
You have the titanium Nismo exhaust? Not the S-tune?

Totally agree Dan, the number of tech questions on our FB page that I KNOW have already been answered here does my head in. People are lazy too, even if I give a link to here often the questions keep coming and as you say a day later it's sunk into the FB abyss. I found this place invaluable when I bought my Zed because most if not all questions had already been asked and answered, just a matter of a quick search and job done. It's like a reference section, FB is not, it's just the "go to" resource because it's easy, yes you might get your question answered but it's not then readily available for the next guy who asks the same question 2 weeks later and the question gets asked again.....................ad infinitum. Rant over.
I completely agree, this place is a great resource and I too have found it invaluable for solving issues with a search, however people are lazy and think every problem they have is unique to them so feel the need to post specifically about them, that goes for on here too. How many times have we seen 3 posts in as many days about the exact same thing? Does my mapper in.

#lightbulb
How about pinned topics at the top of the section that can only be updated by REO's and we can link to the threads in our corresponding areas?

OK look, the team made a call on trying something different based on pretty valid feedback - like anything in the world 100% of the people will never agree with 100% of the decisions. But for anything to work everyone needs to give it a try, if it doesn't work then we ditch the idea. Its called Test and Learn and is a good approach to have to developing forum spaces.
And on a personal note, please don't take forums for granted, the GT-Four forums all died due to some poor management of them and everything is now on FB. There is no community, no banter, its a very transactional experience and not a good one from an ownership perspective. Just saying.
I completely agree, Facebok groups are great for problem solving, buying/selling and meets, but they miss out on the community feeling that forums have and I sincerely hope this forum doesn't go the way of many others and filter out.
I applaud the team for trying to change things up a bit if it was deemed to not be working and I'm just giving my 2 pence worth and an alternative idea to what I think would work better.

Thanks for the comments Kyle, a good deal of your reasoning is how we had the previous format. Where we’ve got a natural barrier, like the Irish Sea, it makes a lot of sense. It’s not easy to nip over the pond on a whim for a meet.
Where you’ve mentioned Facebook, is that with regard to Regional Facebook clubs or the National Single Marque ones? The reason I ask is that I tend to follow club pages on FB, but I don’t go looking for local ones.
Im talking about localised pages, which will never take over from this forum, but can very easily take quite a bit of traffic/content from it. Facebook is so simple for most people and isn’t already taking loads of traffic from here for simple “help” posts, I can only imagine more and more regionalised 350 pages popping up to keep track.
1 hour ago, Ekona said:Trouble is, where do you join the lines? For example being in Essex would mean I'd happily pop to Herts or Suffolk for a meet, so maybe you'd tag those together. However on a nice day or for the right meet I'd happily go to Sussex or Surrey or Norfolk, so you'd have to include those too. But then people in Norfolk might not travel as far as Sussex full stop, so it's pointless including those in a section together: Grouping only works for the individual, not en-masse.
The only way to do it is to encourage people to subscriber to each area they're interested in, and just accept they're going to miss a few things. Can you even subscribe per sub-forum on here? I don't know.
*EDIT* Yes you can, I just checked.
I cant remember how many or how small the other regions were, but in my mind I was thinking of a section for all Ireland, all Wales, all Scotland and maybe split England into 3-5 sections. Those near the boarders of the new regions would be massively in the minority, whereas now everyone is affected.
its hardly a big issue, and it’s unlikely to affect me much because our region isn’t very busy, but I just thought it would work better for the masses.

No worries mate. There were a couple of permissions issues that I believe are fixed.
Historically only The Team could post and reply in there, it’s now possible for everyone to reply, we’ll trial this for a while and see how it goes.
Are you sure, I'm pretty sure i've posted before in that section and if I take a look back a few years, there's plenty of posts from none mods/admin, such as WackyWill

Now for the reason I wanted to post in the "announcements" section
I'm not too fond of this but I see what the goal is. Maybe a better solution would have been to amalgamate a number of local regions to form a lesser number of larger regions?
The reason I think this is because Someone in Scotland isn't likely to travel to Exeter for a coffee and someone in Wales isn't likely to travel to Fife for a Krispy Kreme, but they may of course travel a little out of their area and for major events, theres already the National Events area.
With keeping regions, people can still choose to "follow" the forum section for their area and be alerted when someone is trying to plan something, whereas people I think are less likely to "follow" the whole meets section for the 250,000km² of the UK.
Being one of the few from NI or Ireland in general on here, there of course isn't much going on in our section, however, when someone does post something, I'm alerted to it, whereas in the new format, I won't be and I doubt i'll be venturing in too often just in case and trawling through maybe a few pages for topics to see if theres a local one.Personally, I can see this pushing people to use social media more to organise things, especially those in more remote locations.

There are only two Admins and sadly our non-digital lives often prevent total coverage, every day, on top of that, we’re both extremely lazy.
On a serious note. Should any Member ever be in URGENT need of attention, PM one of the Mods or Admins (ideally one who is online) and they’ll do their best to get it sorted or get an Admin online as soon as possible.
Sorry about that, I know yas are stretched and doing the best yas can
It's working now anywho. Was it as Dan said, REO permissions thing?

Good to see Admin frequenting the "Forum Help" section to help us out.

I figure it’s something like that. Also wondered if you were able to post due to being an “ex team member”, but not sure that makes sense after thinking about it.
Rear diffuser not fitting..?

The bumpers are all the same, if it doesn't fit either you are doing it wrong, you have an aftermarket rear bumper or the diffuser is damaged/missing pieces.
