  1. LOL, i was in Ozz couple of years back visiting sister and brother, and at the end of any work done we would say " just need a stubby now" which is a short bottle of beer
  2. good point mate, i dont want folks to think paul has done anything wrong, he hasnt would it be possible for mods to delete this thread ?
  3. i always think brembo calipers should be in red, same as ferraris should always be red and 911 turbos should be black
  4. thanks mate only thing im unhappy about is how the alloy wheel cleaner has taken the colour away from the wheel nuts they looked really good when first fitted, might try taking them off and repainting them
  5. I started off just replacing the front discs to match the rears (black diamond drilled fitted by previous owner), and whilst i had the wheels off, sent them away to be repaired (mostly kerb damage) couldn't make up my mind between gold or white, went with white, then decided that the callipers would look so much nicer in red, then decided that they needed to be spaced so on went 20mm front and 25mm rear hubcentrics, then decided that the space between front and rear wheels needed something extra so went with N1 side skirts, rear end looked bare so on went the rear spats, then oh dear the front looked naked so on went the front splitter, stopping now honest, until something bright and shiny catches my eye
  6. after the mapping earlier on this year, ive constantly got the CEL needing resetting, so i posted a thread to try and get some advice please click on the link and let me know your thoughts as im more than pleased with the cars performance viewtopic.php?f=25&t=63678&start=0
  7. bloody hell mate that aint cheep, glad i got it sorted
  8. cheers for the info Jez its appreciated, now fitted spacers and it seems to have cleared the fault ?, there was a slight leak from where the downpipe joined the decatt section so not sure which cured the fault, just out of curiosity how would i have gone about logging the AFR correction ?
  9. not really keen on refitting the cats, but the spacers sound interesting home made ? or has some yoda type already come up with them, and if so where can i get some
  10. went over to RS tuning couple of months back, to have the remap by paul ( good day out and very knowledgeable people), before i went i fitted the plenum spacer and decatted with new Y pipe, and popcharger, was warned that this might provoke check light, but it ran OK but ever since remap the fault P1273 appears, it says its an air/fuel error, wouldnt be to bothered if its telling me its running slightly rich, but how do i know its not running lean ?, bought the OBD reader of flea bay cos i seem to be resetting it almost every journey, do i need to worry ?
  11. looks pretty, damn good mate !!!! just out of curiosity what is the zorst ? looks bloody greta and the guys are right its crying out for a tuck to show the exhaust off

  13. sorry for the late response mate, dont get on line every day, will post the discs off today
  14. got a set of brembo discs mate the previous owner had them fitted just before i bought it,ive fitted black diamond ones , think they done approx 2,000K, so no lip or wear to speak of, im up in lancashire and i think postage would be pretty steep as they are aweful heavy, dont want anything for them just postage, if your interested i can get a price from a courier ? let me know, just glad to help out a fellow forum member
  15. dot between 3 and 5 now filled in with my new crayons, once bought a roll cage for one of the scoobies i had and left it in the kitchen after it was delivered, fully intended to put it in the garage, but ive got a short attention span and i saw something that was bright and shiny, so totally forgot about it, oh how we laughed about that
  16. Looks like i lied when i said no cost as im now going out for sunday lunch with the missus ( thats after a clean up the front chippings) she wants to go somewhere up near newby bridge in the lakes ( Hmmmmmm just looked and its a stonesthrow from the lakeland motor museum,i wonder ) yep not very clever telling her about the pixies, just been to bargain booze for the white wine pacifier, wonder how long she will make me suffer and how many times she will get a laugh when she brings up the topic in the future
  17. Just had to own up to the chippings fiasco, overheard my son saying " dads been working on the bloody car again all day, thinks hes an artist now" so quick as a flash i owned up my partner has just told me i shouldnt be out by myself without a carer and ive been told to only use crayons in future
  18. cheers mate its always nice when someone else says it looks OK, too late about the pixies though, my better half has just come in from work and is going ballistic about "some lunatic has sprayed blue paint all over the front chippings" just said nothing ( coward that i am) and said id get the brake cleaner out and have a go at removing it
  19. As title guys ive never tried anything like this before, went to RS at leeds for a remap yesterday along with G man and Tranquilbass, there bays put me to shame, so i had a rummage in my shed and found 1 x aerosol blue plasicote from repairs to grandsons bike 1 x gold hammerite from repainting my old skyline calipers 1 x red high temp from painting my old scooby brake calipers 2 x household paint brushes total cost £0 I know it wont be to everyones taste, but for a first effort and 4 hours work ive got to say, i came in to make tea tonight and felt pretty good about myself, i didnt include the picture of the overspray on my partners new chippings that she had put down in the front garden perhaps i can tell her the pixies came in the night and did it

  23. shame mate but im still interested if any of you guys who originally said they were up for it
  24. sort of makes you wonder why we bother with the factory setup when most decent HU nowadays allow parrot bluetooth
  25. as title guys, got the Z in feb and the HU had the normal problems ( looked at a few threads on here)anyway managed to get another HU which works fine, everytime i start the car it says "nor code" but plays CDs and radio fine, eventually got the bluetooth thingy, plugged in and paired both my phones with the 350Z (thats what both phones found) i assume the two buttons on the wheel the left one is to make a call and the right one is to end a call ? tried both phones both incoming and outgoing, i thought the sound would mute and allow me to speak useing the HU speakers like my mates Bemmer, nothing happens my question is is it because i have no code in the HU or is it more likely the bluetooth thingy is faulty, any help appreciated Thanks
