  1. Sizes are correct and I beleive that the OEM Tyre was the Bridgestone RE040... However, these are horrible (Read the reviews on here).

If you're thinking of replacing, then I'd look for something else personally.

  2. Fair point. I do appreciate all the advice and opinions you have given, thanks!

I know whats happening here bud.........you really, really want this car and your just waiting for the 1 person to say something positive and you'll go get it.

Just don't bother........unless its a mega bargain or just down the roads for a little looksee, with a history that makes sense walk the fook away.

Its just not worth it for the sake of getting a 'newer' car.

Ok, I'll do it and take one for the team!

Mate that's an absolute cracker of a deal. It's defo been repaired to the highest of standards because it looks so shiny in the photographs. If you don't put a deposit on it soon, I am going to go snaffle it up myself.

Not if I beat you to it! I've been after a cheap 350Z, which has been crashed and repaired as cheaply as possible. It's definaltey not worth spending <£1k more on loved, well known example...

  3. quick go, saldy the quality of the image shows up when re grading, but its good enough to show you

If I was to ever change the rear of my car, it would be to this! I love that look and am not a fan of spoilers and bodykits normally! B)

  4. I'm going to NY in December and plan on bringing back some HFC's, and MRev2 Manifold / Spacer... along with some lighter bling.

The weight of all these is close to the luggage allowance, but the £300 saving (After you've paid the duty at customs) seems worth the hassle imho!

  5. Rotors and pads are wear and tear items. Does your insurance state that you must fit OEM wear and tear items? No? I thought not.

Remember in the case of insurance company refusing a payout due to modification then burden of proof is on them to prove you have made a modification and that affects the vehicles performance. Otherwise every joe bloggs with a vauxhaull that accepts kwik Fit fitting generic pads and discs on their car are committing fraud.

What about an exhaust that you got from Kwik Fit? Now, nothing like that would ever go near my Zed, but for a normal car, would you have to let the insurers know that you didn't have an OEM exhaust?

  6. At high speeds both the analogue and the digital reads are way out. On a recent trip I clocked 156mph in Germany on the Autobahn. The speedo was showing about 175mph on both of the car's clocks.

Didn't most companies factor in 10%, so you couldn't blame the speedo if you got caught speeding? I think legally they now have to make it accurate... although I have no source / evidence to back this up! :)

  7. For me, and this is obviously my personal opinion, there are only a couple of colours of Zed that look nice with black wheels... None look good with white wheels, although you hardly see any (Possibly for a reason!) :p

A white Zed with black wheels = B)

  8. That definitely isn't legal. As far as I know, there is 1 size and 1 font... Anything else is technically illegal.

You'd hope that all other crimes in the country had been solved before the cops turned to this, but if you get pulled and they want to be dicks, it's 3 points and a fine...

  9. I'm sure you know this already, but :pmzmanalex:

I believe his Exedy Clutch and Fizenda Flywheel are roughly £700... And the labour should be around £200

I only want a £500 consultancy charge... and you've still saved £500! :teeth:

Sorry to hear about your problems btw... :console:

  10. Oh no, another mod that I simply don't 'get' What's the point of that exactly and why did I click on the video clip - my husband's not even here and I get tortured by ACDC

I assume so that you don't have a number plate ruining the look of your car... And possibly for forward facing speed cameras? I would have said the former more than the latter though.

Cool gadget, but you're asking for trouble if you get caught IMHO.

  11. ...it was more that they scoffed that new lines would improve breaking which I found concerning.

Yeah, it did strike me as a bit odd, but I think the guy is a proper old school mechanic... Oh well...

Incidentally, how are you finding the Black Diamond setup as this is what I went for?
