  1. Send a PM to CS on here regarding Black Diamond discs and pads, he's sure to give you a good price and they're working pretty well for those that have tried them out on here. Slightly better than OEM IMO.

+1 on the Black Diamond from CS. They don't cost the earth and work really well.

  2. Those pesky )$ plate TT's are everywhere! :p

    :welcome:

For what it's worth, I was after a 225 TT for absolutely ages... until I realised I could get a Zed for about the same money. The TT just seemed a little sedate and lifeless in comparison. The Zed has it's flaws, no doubt, but the sound it makes and the looks are :cloud9:

Also, none of my mates have called me a hairdresser, when they blatantly would have rinsed me if I'd got a TT... Even a QS...

  3. Nice is lovely, but you should go and visit some of the towns / villages surrounding.

Particularly Monaco if you get the chance. It's about 1 euro on the bus (Or at least it was).

There is also a Matisse museum / exhibition which is well worth a trip if you're into that sort of thing!

  4. Theres several ways around this.

    a) google want everyone to store there stuff in the "cloud" and stream it to the device. This works very well for some people, but others (like myself used to), like to keep stuff local on the device.

    B) I have 50gb storage on my s2 mobile phone which is always in my pocket and thats more than enough, i could use that to store my media on and stream to the nexus 7 when away from home. This isnt an option for you if you have an iphone however.

    c) You can get mini usb to normal usb adapter and plug USB stick or hard drive into the nexus 7 if you want extra storage. Theres a free app to allow it to map external drives. I think you just need to root it (to give you admin access) to allow this - something which takes litterally a couple of minutes.

    d) When I had mobile phones (i always use mine to play music from) with smaller capacity like 16gb, I used to just copy a particular play list over and listen to that for a few months, then change it out. But, not an option for you if you dont want the hassle. Id go for option c)

Undeniably, the Nexus is a lovely bit of kit. My mate brought his in to work today and it's fantastic.

It just seems a bit of a faff surrounding the lack of storage. Cloud only works if you have a decent WiFi connection, which would say be my house... I don't need cloud storage there as I have a PC and NAS. Anywhere else is reliant on a WiFi or 3G connection which is limited and expensive...

Take an example of a flight to America. I want to watch a few films there and back and listen to some music. No WiFi or 3G, so cloud is not an option. The device is not big enough to store all I want to take... If I use an external drive, how do I power the device as the USB port is occupied and I don't have enough charge? With the Galaxy Tab 2 I can take as many additional SD Cards as I want and I can charge at the same time.

I'd honestly rather have a lower spec device that does everything I need. Why should you have to compromise or muck around to get something to work the way you want it.

This isn't designed as a Nexus 7 bash, as it is a fantastic device, just too limited storage wise, but then they had to make it have some limitations for the price.

  5. Hi ,

Im going to buy a zed :teeth: but would like to know if my golf clubs will fit in the boot ?

    newbie

This was one of my main concerns... But bought anyway! ;)

If you have stand bags, you can fit 2 sets and shoes etc in the first hole. I don't even have to take my driver and 3 wood out to fit which is not the case with a lot of hatch backs.

  6. I changed mine a few weeks ago, but it didn't seem to make much difference.

Should it sound like the gearbox is about drop out when changing into 1st and 2nd? I know that the Zed has a clunky transmission, but it always worries me as it's really loud.

  7. I'd be very curious as to how the one owner had owned it from new...................

Is it possible the guy / girl bought it new and imported it?

Edit: Lol, just read the advert... the comapny director of Nissan owned it before him... so full Nissan Service History!

  8. I must say that I am tempted by one of these, but will probably end up getting the Sammy Tab 2. The lack of expandable memory is a real issue. I have a 16GB iPhone and it isn't enough for my music and apps. At home it wouldn't be a problem as I can stream to it, but if I take it out (Zed cubby), then I'm limited to what I can take... and I can never be bothered moving songs around etc.

It's a shame Asus didn't add a slot, but then they would have destroyed the market for their own Transformer... Maybe it'll be worth hacking as I'm sure someone will be trying to exploit the micro USB slot (If not done so already).

  9. Not my cup of tea... (I should pretty much have that as my sig when responding to these types of threads) :teeth:

...but, I'd go matt black (kind of like it was an aero part from a GT car). Shiny will look like it's been stuck on for show and I think Azure would make the bumper look too "busy".

  10. +1 for the Vreds... I have them all round and they've yet to unsettle me, even in the downpours we've had recently.

But obviously, 2 Bridgestones will be cheaper than 4 Vreds.

  11. I saw these on eBay and really fancied getting them, just paid for a holiday, so didn't even bid.

They look really nice and I'm looking forward to some pics when you get round to fitting them!

  12. It's the same in Vietnam, which is why there are so many scooters.

Only the really rich can afford the 80% import tax... And it's not like new cars are cheap. They also have a law that prevents any cars older than 5 years being imported, so you can't just get an old banger.

  13. Hi,

I have been lucky enough to find a genuine Nissan Tonneau on eBay, so here is my non genuine one for sale for some slightly less lucky person! :D

I bought this back in March from a forum member and it has served me well. It is in excellent condition, made of wood, covered in carpet. It is a really secure fit with velcro straps to keep it in place.

    £45 delivered...
