but will forgive you as you're definitely a fellow petrol head
yea you should be ashamed of yourself you evil Alfa haterComparing figures is all fine and dandy but have you actually driven one? Drive them first before passing an all omnipotent decision on cars
I guess this was aimed at me? Yes I have, hence why I gave my opinion, I wouldn't have otherwise.

Just a question from general curiosty, why do people completely hate on the 350z? ive seen a number of posts on social media, involving pictures of 350z's and nearly everytime a high majority of people will completely slate that car.. i have no idea why, im in love with mine its an awesome car, just dont understand peoples need for this? after all if they're car people surely they respect other peoples taste.
ANy ideas on what gives people and excuse to slate them will give me piece of mind as to how wrong they are.
Ryan
Because most people are idiots and most idiots spend a disproportionate amount of time on social media.
think you hit the nail on the head there too many uninformed (and unintelligent) people posting crap on social media and too many people seem to worry about what other people think a bit like the thread about the Vq35 being Renault
i bought my z because i liked it if some one else doesn't like it so what I have a great t-shirt it says "EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO MY OPINION" but they're also entitled to disagree but i'm not gonna stress about it

i had a 156 gta 3.2 v6 sounded the dogsI found the zed engine note a bite lack lustre. I'd rank the Alfa v6 and the golf r32 engine as better sounding. The zed engines biggest issue is it had to drag around its fat behind. The car was over weight and should have had a small fi unit to bring the power up to match the weight.
The Alfa 3.0 V6 in the GTV/Spider sounds like a diesel engine, not nice at all IMO.

a white van i hope
i work long hours drive a van all week start early finish late
just for funWhat do you actually use the car for? That's very low milage!!
So do I, but still do 10k miles a year! Do you just drive it in and out of your garage
i'm on standby all this week which means i start work Mon 8:15 am and finish Fri 7:30 am so not much free time
actually drive the car 1 or 2 days a week
That's definitely the best way. I also drive a van all week, automatic slow VW Caddy, then jump in the Z at the weekend Makes it feel so much more special.

wow don't remember the last time i saw an anglia

It's just habit more than anything always changed twice a year when i did 12k per year just carried on that and the oils free i've got 120 litres of itAndy, I'm starting to feel that I neglect my zed now, oil and filter every 6k plus top ups of course but then if i got free oil why not

i actually run shell helix ultra 5w40(get it free) i'd like to see a dyno run with differant oils can't believe it makes that much differance to power and i change the oil and filter twice a year which is really anal as i only do 1000 miles a year
You change your oil every 500 miles! Fairplay that is OCD at its best. Just joking.
it's worse than that last year i only did 600 and changed oil and filter 3 times was a new engine though you think i should go to oil changers anonymous "my name's Andy and i'm an oil changer" there i said it i feel better already

No not on the Min, thats running and old Shorrock blower...must admit I do prefer working with carbs/dizzys and not ECU's..The M90 was going on a 6R4 replica I was building running an old Renault V6,,never finished it though.
i know a guy who's had a new Shorrock blower still in the box for his midget says he's gonna fit it when he retires he's had it the 12 yrs i've known him and he wont retire for another 15 thats foreward planning

haven't damaged the wiring pulled the connector off to the pressure sender have you ?
-
oh now who's showing his age mine were actually cherry bomb muff divers
-
in all honesty no but i look foreward to it nowI agree with Kyle ~ my 350 sounds much better with my after market Invidia exhaust system then it ever did with the standard Nissan system.
maybe i'm just too old and prefer something more subtle
Have you heard the Invidia system?
Not in your face or OTT. Nice and quite grumble at lower RPM, comes alive after 2.5K-3K rpm and doesn't drone one bit.
Really brings out the V6 sound nicely imo.
Would love to show you if you lived closer.
My days of some mental, stupidly loud exhaust deafening me and everyone around are long gone.
Used to have an Impreza that had a very loud exhaust system, ...so loud in fact the dog at home would start barking about 3 minutes before I got home as he could hear me about a mile away from home driving behind my house.
Much prefer something more subtle nowadays but still with a nice sound especially if I decide to put my foot down a little & go up the rev range.
know exactly what you mean i had a capri with a 3.9 v8 and 2 cherry bombs as a system couldnt hear for at least 5 min after i got out of it
