On Friday I attended my first 'proper' track day (i.e. not a taster session for novices!) organised by Javelin at Anglesey Circuit. It was a really great day out with hardly any red flags, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Because the Zed is my daily driver I found myself being quite sympathetic to it; I think I need to buy a track only car now!
And a video of my final session, on the Coastal layout:

I'd love to lap the Ring but its this that ultimately scares me into not doing it

I'm fairly certain super unleaded contains all the necessary additives, I think redex has always been termed as snake-oil by those in the know, I'm sure someone more technical on here will substantiate that.
This has always been my understanding also

Looks good
Welcome back!

Sounds great as well

Sorry to hear that buddy; hopefully sorted soon though

Just to update my situation, I had the brake fluid flushed, bled, and then re bled by a garage who know performance cars about 4-5 months ago; there is so much more feel to the brakes now you cannot compare it to the previous way they felt

Been subscribed to Evo for years, wish I could afford half the stuff they feature nowadays

If it helps, my JVC AVX-640 didn't; I researched before buying and found that it had in built switchable amplification (Off - Low - High)

Welcome! Sounds like a great project, you've certainly come to the right place to get help, this is a great forum! Can you get some pictures up of what it currently looks like?

Ive been thinking about one of these as a track car, but I always think about my mate's ownership of one...
Bought for £6k, mint with about 30k miles on it; under acceleration it seemed to jump, or lose power for a second, so he panicked and sold it for £4k a month after buying it
Still, I remember it handling really amazing even in the wet

sorry I couldn't resist!

I thought it was cheesy teddy and chocolate day on friday? is it too late to change my order do you think?!

Scorpion sounds more up your street, £394, you can sell the BC for a few quid
Drop me a message if I can help
A few quid? From what I've read I can get £400+ for it.. I'd happily use you if you were closer
I got all my stuff (including my Cobra exhaust) for the car via mail order from Tarmac; perfect service every time. Location doesn't matter! Another solution if you're suffering with cabin drone get a rear tonneau cover, makes a massive difference on mine (although maybe not enough for the Buddy Club!)
I made my own, but if I was needing another one it wasn't worth the hassle; i'd just buy one off 14N, a member trader on here:

The two hour/four hour sessions look a lot better than a whole day on track; do any other track day providers offer them closer to the North West such as Oulton or Anglesey? Knockhill is just a tad too far for me

That is incredible.

:scare:
I don't get it :s
Not many of us do
brilliant

Always loved these, the noise is insane. Anyone ever seen this video where the car has the same V10?

I've upgraded both the head unit and the rear speakers. Doing the rears is a waste of time unless you do the head unit IMO. On the standard system, the Bose cassette thing is the biggest limiting factor to the sound. As for fitting, it was pretty straight forward, I just used the holes for the screws that were already there.

Just to add to this, now that I have DBA discs up front, EBC Yellowstuff pads all round, HEL braided lines and mogul RBF600 fluid properly bled I had absolutely no fade on track on Friday; see video here:
