Nice work matey, glad the car is all sorted and looking great again!
Cheers Paddy; not long to go to Wales now!

I just turned up and asked for the service manager. It is in their interests to make the claim successful, as they get the £££ for doing it! I think that the main thing that made mine successful was all the perforation and paint coming off, which was totally at odds with the rest of the car which is immaculate! I took with me printoffs of all the other successful threads on here, and left them with him

Nice one Jonathan, hope you'll stick around with more useful infoAre the iPhone 5S and iPad Air mains charger plugs interchangeable ? ... the ones I have are totally different (iPhone is smaller)
No. The iPad Air needs a 12w mains power adapter, whereas the iPhone 5S only requires a 5w. The smaller adapter you got with the iPhone is only rated at 5w
No problem Graham
Im trying to think of things which I deal with everyday in work, so here are some which spring to mind at the moment...
- The £60 Superdrive has been mentioned... but I am yet to find a Windows orientated optical drive that doesn't work with a Mac (including the £12 specials on eBay
- McAfee Live Safe causes all sorts of problems (in particular with Airplay) and isn't needed, so steer clear!
- Double tap the Fn key (bottom left of the keyboard) and you can dictate rather than type, and it works pretty good.
- If you want to attach files to an email, just drag them down to the Mail icon and a new email will be created with them attached.
- You can take a picture of your signature using the webcam and add it into a PDF to digitally sign documents; open up a PDF in Preview by double clicking it, then the button that looks like a pen in a square, then "sig"
- If you click a document/pic/video once, then hit space, and it will give you a quick view of that file, so a lot faster than opening the file fully.
Apologies if everyone knows all of these already, but maybe someone learned something

Do you have the app script for this or the automator setup for this?
Nope, sorry mate.

The next one is a long term keeper
Gentlemans bet (50p) you wont keep it longer than 18 months!
Your nearly as bad as Stuarty!
Bit harsh that Ricey
Beautiful car though mate, GLWTS

Cheers guys. It has a full service history, but only Nissan until about 2010. It is a 2004 car.

On Friday i picked up my car from JT Hughes in Oswestry, having successfully claimed under the bodywork perforation warranty. I noticed a bubble on the bonnet following the winter months, and upon closer inspection the underside was in a poor state! Please excuse the poor iPhone snaps!
So about 7 weeks ago I went to the dealer, who originally tried to suggest it was a stone chip but they took pictures and said they would ask Nissan UK for a decision. It took a lot of chasing on my part and they didn't even sent the claim off for 2 weeks, but eventually it was booked in last week.
Beaut of a Honda Jazz as a courtesy car
Vtec just didn't kick in though yo! Made the Zed feel even quicker when I finally got it back
Brand new bonnet painted and fitted:
I will get a proper picture when the weather is a bit nicer
Only fly in the ointment is that whilst valeting the inside of the car someone managed to knock the power cable for my speed camera detector onto the seat rail, before moving the seat back and forth to hover the carpets So I am expecting a call from them tomorrow to discuss that.
So fair dos to Nissan UK for honouring the warranty, despite my car not having the 'body checks' stamped in the back of the service book (whatever they are!)

Congratulations Will; thoroughly deserved!

For me, I think one of the reasons that I enjoy owning and driving the Zed so much is that, unlike some previous cars that I've owned, I'm not waiting for it to break down on me every time I drive it

Did they belong to anybody here? Was a good day out watching the British GT Championship and we even got sun!

Recognise a few of those roads; can't wait

I think the double din screens with minimal buttons look the best. I have had a JVC since pretty much as soon as I got the car over 2 years ago, and this one looks the most similar to mine. Remember to budget c.£50 for the cables to connect it all up

PM received and replied to:
Fully working preowned starter motors are in stock and good to go same/next day.
Alex.
I had the same issue about 18 months ago and bought a preowned one from ZMANALEX

It's not cheap running 2 cars when you want to mod them :-)
Ahh, but I'm not modding the Clio, I'm merely 'enhancing' it
Well, that's how I'm justifying it anyway
Brilliant justification there

Is this a recent video? Whilst I was watching it the VHS quality and cars on track made me think it was from the mid 90s

Have a great trip, loping forward to seeing the track footage

I didn't know how to embed the video so the link was the best I could do.
Click "share" on youtube and copy that link, and the forum does the rest

The standard set up faded massively for me; DBA front discs, Yellowstuff pads, HEL lines and RBF600 fluid and they are perfect now as others have already suggested
-
exhaust sounds great
Cheers. Cobra resonated

great stuff, good vid all in sunny wales
ty croes is only 30mins from me
About 1 and a half from me in Wrexham, where abouts are you based?
-
Forgot to mention that unlike one of the previous taster days I've done, there was no brake fade at all now that I am running DBA front discs, Yellowstuff pads all round, HEL braided lines and Motul RBF600 brake fluid
