  1. Based on these reviews I'm definitely thinking two sets is the way to go, so what winter set would everyone recommend? Thanks
  2. I just bought a 2004 with 30k miles for £8k so I reckon yours is a bit of a bargain! Either that or mine was overpriced... In fact, I'm starting to wish I'd waited a month! GLWTS
  3. That's reassuring, thanks chaps! I'm up at Abbey on the 3rd so I'll see if they can fit them at the same time
  4. I have noticed a rather bizarre squeaking coming from the rear suspension, this seemingly only occurs when I am reversing and only then when I am going from flat to a slight incline ( backwards onto a driveway or something). I haven't the faintest idea what this could be and I was hoping someone had a pearl of wisdom they could provide!
  5. Wow, been offline for a couple of days and only just logged in to check on the responses! Thanks very much for all the advice guys, I've already booked the advanced driver training for next year so based on this feedback it'll either be a set of Michelins or the package that Zmanalex mentioned!
  6. How much would they set me back?
  7. I know there are a few threads on this topic already, but I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were regarding how to get the best increase in performace for my £1k? This could be straight up power or better suspension set-ups, tyres etc I have already booked an advanced driver training session for early next year in an attempt to improve the soft, fleshy, fallable part of the car but I am planning to tweak a bit more performance out of it once I've done that. All thoughts and ideas greatly appreciated!
  8. I drove past one on the M27 this morning, was a similar colour and looked fantastic!
  9. That looks like a cracking road you're about to take on!
  10. I'm glad everyone has suggested Abbey, I've always gone for specialist over main dealer in the past so it's good to know that there's such a highly-respected Nissan specialist available now that I've got the Zed
  11. I should probably clarify, I'm referring to the NISMO here, not to me!
  12. Just a quick thanks to Tarmac... I ordered a NISMO shift knob yesterday afternoon, arrived at 12pm today in a geniune NISMO box with instructions Great service and the knob looks sweet in the Zed Thanks Tarmac!
  13. at this! Thanks very much again for the response guys, if I decide to get anything extra done while I'm up at Abbey I'll make sure to post up pics / dyno runs depending on what happens.
  14. That's a very good point. Plus, if I get any mods done (I'm thinking uprev and maybe plenum spacer) it'll almost certainly be them that does it so it makes sense for them to know the car first I guess.
  15. Sweet, 2 out of 2 is good enough for me!
  16. I've decided that before the icy embrace of winter is upon us I'm going to get the Zed serviced (last one was only 4,000 miles ago, but it was Jan 2010...), and I was wondering what the consensus was regarding whether to take it to a main nissan dealer or to Abbey? I've read good things on here about them? and I'm guessing it'll save a few quid... Thanks guys!
  17. I know, I f**king HATE that tree, as well as all the airborne rats that dwell within it! It's okay though, I'm moving into a new house in January with a nice big garage for the Zed to slot into
  18. Thanks a lot guys, I'm getting a massive kick out of driving it and I got my first honk and wave from a fellow Zed owner (also gunmetal grey, 04 plate, on the M27...). I must admit I am very tempted by the carbon fibre dash, I had a look at Jay's when he was selling it and I thought the carbon interior looked amazing! There's a few companies selling DIY carbon fibre kits but I'm worried out farking it up and making it look much worse!
  19. Thanks to all of you for the positive comments! I'm looking to keep the exterior fairly standard, except maybe some wheels and focus on the interior and performance. The performance side will have to wait til next year when I've got some more readies so if anyone's got any tips on classy interior mods I'd be interested to hear them
  20. In fact they work too well! I think the guy who owned it before me might have been an old boy because the parking sensors go crazy when I'm about a metre away from anything lol!
  21. Sorry for the ridiculous angle of the picture! Anyone know what make of exhaust this is? It's got some small perforations around the circumference of the pipe if that's any help! I will follow these up with some proper photos when the car has been polished, these were taken just before it started raining (again) and I think the rushed nature is apparent in the quality of the images!

    NISMO stuff

Hi guys, I'm sure this is an absoulte newbie question, but can anyone recommend a good place to pick up NISMO bits? I'm looking for a new gear know and ideally a new steering wheel (as I find the standard leather one ridiculously slippery! ). Any help would be much appreciated J
