  1. Dads side = Red, Mums side = Blue

I'm red and glad I've moved out! I think we'll nick it 1-0 but I agree with Dan, I'm expecting quite possibly the worst game of football this season. That said, City HAVE to win it so it should be open. I hope we don't have an insane decision to decide the game, we've been unlucky with them against our main rivals in recent years :(

O/T but rugby is a great game, I played both until last year and found Rugby harder, on the mind as well. Footy I would just charge into space, all this running in arcs and setting left and right of your scrumhalf always kept me on my toes (i.e. I can be lazier on a footy pitch) :)

  2. ^ while you are correct Dave, there are also a massive number of those old people who've paid taxes all their lives; on the flip side a whole lot of idiots draining resources with alcoholic injuries / abuse who don't work, never have and no intention of starting that are effectively a double drain on the country (benefits and care) - but lets not open that can of worms :)

  3. My ex g/f was a nurse and worked so hard, along with all her colleagues between the Shrews and Staffs hospitals. The people on the ground are amazing.

It boils down to the government and management; lets think back to when the NHS was founded, essentially it was for patching people up and sending them on their way, peg legs and all. Now they have incredible machinery, advanced techniques, specialist departments and save thousands of lives every year..... all for free (well - NI). Staffing cuts, budgetary cuts, bad management and overcrowding unfortunately dilute what is essentially one of the strongest (free) healthcare systems in the world :(

  4. well, part of the reason i disliked my last Nissan Z car was cos it got 22mpg on a GOOD day - normally hovered around 15! So yeah, i did by my new zed for the MPG!

but really, are there any 280bhp+ cars that get better than 33mpg on a cruise? the zed is probably better than most as it has a very long 6th gear, and a very relaxed engine - maybe one the new breed of turbo 4 cylinder engines could make 280bhp but still return 33mpg if you drove it everywhere off boost, but although every man and his dog has a turbo'd 4pot, who actually wants one over a V6?

    100%

On other cars my old FD RX-7 would do about 35mpg off boost which was incredible really; esp as the RX8s are so bad and 1/2 as quick!

  5. If they don't go to the provisional chap and (dumb moment time) assuming they are adjustable hardness - I think so given I can see the cable on the rears.

I'll have them 100% and can collect whenever really.

    Thanks

    Dave

  6. I reckon he should drive them both and see which he prefers...

Sorry but that is a ludicrous suggestion, I think he should drive both and see which one he doesn't like....

But what if he likes both :headhurt::headhurt::headhurt:

Then he should 100% not refer to this thread :scare:

As Biscuit said, I too am not trolling, I had a S2k(ip) and loved it, I now have a Z and love it as well. Now having owned both I'd be hard pressed to choose which one I want, I'm not Charlie Sheen so can't have both models at the same time :(

Some misconceptions in this thread though are:

    (1) Torque, you can be in 6th on the motorway and accelerate faster than a HGV overtaking a HGV, the zed does this quicker though.

    (2) The S2000 is more forgiving - absolutely no chance

    (3) Overtaking opportunity can be gone with the lack of torque - after a while and getting to know the car its easy, see the op, down a couple of cogs and bang, my betting is you'll red line it, change and red line it again, overtaking in the S2K is that exhilarating. Also if your overtaking opportunity lapses in the 0.3 seconds it takes to clutch in, change down, blip and clutch up and WOT, then you're probably a menace on the roads :)

  7. I havent owned an s2000 but if you are revving it regularly to 9500rpm it must gulp fuel down like you wouldnt believe

100%, but with spirited driving it'll still hit 30mpg and make good progress, thrash it and it drops, be boring with it and it'll get near on 40mpg. I'm not besmirching the Zed as I love it but in my experience the S2000 costs less to own.
