  2. When I first saw the title of your post, I read it wrong, and thought mmmm, he needs a Rabbi :lol:

Haha thankfully its still in one piece!!

Pretty sure the two bolts you mention are something to do with the window mechanism* and don't need to be un done. It all comes off as one with the motor. However if i remember rightly you have to seperate the drop glass first by unbolting it from the mechanism. Access can be gained to the bolt(s) by removing the round black sticky hole covers.

Hope this is of some help.

    * they adjust the angle of the window runner I think.

Cheers mate, i managed to get it off in the end thanks for the info!! i have yet to put it back together again i just hope that with all my trying to undo the bolts, i havent adjusted the angle too much

Thanks again for the info

  3. I am in the process of installing a new sound system which i will shortly be putting up a thread on what i've done. In the mean time i am in need of some assistance, i am trying to add some sound deadening to the inside of the door but i am having trouble (i.e cant do it!!)

I have removed all the door trim but i can't get the inner metal door skin off to get to where the window rests when its down. The problem is two nuts that i cant remove. Unfortuantly i took these pics before just before it got dark so by the time i realised i couldn't get them off it was too dark to get a decent upclose pic.

I have circled the nuts that i couldnt remove, they are silver with a slotted thread on the end. The issue i have with them is they spin with the thread. I have tried using a spanner and a screw driver but to no avail. I tried getting my hand in the hole where the speaker was but couldnt really get a grip on the nut the other side

I was wondering if anybody who has done this and understands what i mean!! could tell me how they got them off as i might be missing something!!

  4. Not being funny but when you say it fits snugly under the strut, unless it has no way to get past the strut, you defiantly need to find a way to bolt it down, and not just with Velcro  If you where to have an accident you'll have a 15kg+ cannonball going straight through your head! There has been cases reported in the past of serious injury from subs/amp that weren't securly properly. Remember there isnt exactly much to stop anything hitting you in a crash

I think if you look yourself and post up what you find you may actually get a response

Asking others to search for you, post up the link and explain everything is maybe a bit lazy :snack:

thats what iv done in post one lol !

So what do you need to know?

Decide budget, then get sub + amp within planned budget... sorted

Well i was looking for links to suggested sub and amp since the ones suggested were over budget new and i couldnt find second hand ones.

But there has been a development !! local lad had a few subs in his unit so went and had a look and £20 later i have a 1000W 4ohm Alpine in box that fits snugly under the strut , iv yet to run the wires but i linked it up in a friends car and it was imense , on par is not better for low down BOOM than my previous cars 2 15" ones . Very happy chappy , just need to find some felt to cover the box up :)

  5. Yep want to leave Vodafone (shocking customer service) and the HTC Desire (worst phone i have ever owned for making calls and level of signal strength) but the earliest i can upgrade is March 2012. Would love to end my contract early and leave altogether though i gather there will be a penalty to pay?

So basically after thoughts on the above are there any loop-holes to get out of the contract now?, what mobile networks are people using? and i will probably move over to a Apple 4S for my next phone. :):santa:

Not wanting to sound like an Apple basher, because i'm not, but if your worried about signal strength then maybe the Iphone isnt the best choice. My company brought everyone the new Iphone when it came out and all I can say is its a nightmare trying to get through a call without it dropping off. I have the Desire HD as do a few others on our company (they gave us a choice) and the Iphone is easily the worst of the two. Even when calling from landlines there are problems. Our company has used both O2 and Vodaphone over the last couple of years with the same results.

Might just be bad luck but i don't think so. The Iphone is a great handset but from my experiance not the best for calls!

Oh and I tend to work all over the place but mostly in London, and Vodaphone very rarely lets me down on signal strengh.

  6. Hi guys,

I got a silenced decat fitted a moth ago plus remaped at abby , and i realised the car drink more fuel now badly ..like for 110 miles covered cost me £50 is this normal ! .!! so i was thinking to swap it with berk HFC .. or both do the same thing ?

    Looking for suggestions please

:scare: If your using that much fuel you better check for leaks. Thats about 10 mpg.
