  1. Amazing!!

That BMW looked appaling before but the results were incredible. B)

I'm planning on getting my front bumper and bonnet resprayed as is has some of the worst chipping i've ever seen the previous owner most have been the founding member of the tailgate crew or something.

But when i do i need the swriling removed from the rest of the car. So if you fancy a very short trip down to St. Albans........ :teeth:

    Seriously thou good jobs

  2.

Cheers Rich, but I don't think the highest level will give me sufficient room in which to undertake tasks under the engine bay. Thanks for the offer though....

no the idea is you drive on to them to give you the height needed to get a jack under the car. ;)

I'm looking for something similar, so will have to ask what maybe a silly question. The jacking points are behind the front wheels i beleive so if you drive onto these how would you get the jack under those points? as i said maybe be silly question but.....

  3. Only seen one episode, the one where they tested the Lambo's. I thought it was ok, just the presenters dont really seem that good? I feel it's lacking something compared to the UK version, maybe it just needs time to 'settle'.

  4. The thing i would sat about the vent mounted holders is that they can come flying off. I've had two, one from my old car and one i just brought, and any more than i calm gentle drive they fly off!!

Its ok in a straight line but you go around a corner thats a little bumpy and it's into the footwell they go. I would recommened what others have already, and put it in the cubby space or window mount it.

  5. Some places like maplins etc .... sell little connector blocks made especially for splicing cables. I've used them many times before. You place the existing cable and the new one side by side in the block, close it over then crimp in down with pliers. Then as said above heatshrink or tape over to ensure its water tight.

  6. Hello and welcome.

As people have already said check your tyres. Don't mean to sound patronizing but you shouldn't be gunning it in the rain anyway. If some idiot wants to go bombing past with water on the road let him, it'll be his car in the ditch if he hits a patch of standing water. Remember you've got summer/sport tyres on as well, so they aren't the best in the wet.

  7. Im a tradesman and i own a Zed.

The general view is that people think you are loaded and a flash git, i sometimes feel a bit self concious in mine when people stare, but i like to think i have worked hard for it and dont give a monkeys what people say.

Spot on with the "i worked hard so don't care" bit. I've worked hard and driven some horrible cars the last ten years so sod them!!!

I'm not to sure many people think "flash git" but i would defiantly say they think you have a fair bit of cash. But as said above my neighbours Focus and Volvo costs the same or a little than the Zed.

I'm an electrician, but never go into a job thinking i could squeeze more cash out of someone just because of what car/house they have. Can't speak for everyone thou!! Apart from the exceptions, i feel if someone has a nice house or car its generally because they look after their money or work hard themselves, so are unlikely to be mugged off so easy!
