  1. For whatever reason the link doesn't work anymore. If it's constantly beeping than you have a fault with one of the sensors. Try to put your fingertips over the sensor while it's on you should feel the working ones buzzing. If all of them buzzing than it's could be internal fault of the main unit. I hope this helps.

    KaizerMotor - I've fixed the link now; looks like it was a post-forum upgrade gremlin.

  2. Hey folks

    Well I finally got around to fitting my Kenwood CMOS-210 reversing camera to the MY10 370z Roadster.

    I purchased the harness from Chris I' when he returned his beloved 370z black back to OEM prior to sale..... and I really wanted to fit a camera to the Roadster; as visibility is pretty limited back there !!!!

    The harness from Chris I' was the same as the one purchased by Sparky370z and a few forum regulars; from Brian [bdl99] over on the US forums;

    If you are thinking about doing this modification, I would highly recommend it............ Brian has done an exceptional job of making the plug'n'play harness for the Connect Premium in the MY10 models... and it's pretty straightforward to install; his instructions are very good. Just take your time and use common sense - and the job's pretty easy to do.

    Anyways........ here are a few install pics; enjoy !

    Big thanks to Chris for letting me purchase his harness (after all, he was the first forum member to 'bite the bullet' and fit one to his beloved Z) !!!

    If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them ! Particularly around the install in a Roadster..... it's a little bit more involved than installing in a Coupe.

  3. wont be battery as the way it works is the fob is waiting for a signal from the transmitter in the car when this happens it turns the signal into power to run a circuit in the fob to give a handshake...The fob can have problems if its near a mobile phone or some stray signal. The battery in the fob only works if you have to use the buttons on the fob......Well thats the way it works...!!

    I've seen the interference problem a few times with other cars; the most common culprit was wireless doorbell systems !!!

    Bit odd how it's only evenings though? *scratches head*

    Hope you find out what's causing it....

  4. Dont have them on mine mate sorry else i would try to help out.

    Doesnt sound rightto me though, but just guessing here. Hope someone else comes along to answer your question though. Good luck.

    Thanks anyway Will ! Appreciate the response. BTW - I ordered that Autoglym Hood kit; it arrived yesterday; just need a dryish day now to give her top a good lathering ! ;) Got some other new 'toys' too; but keeping that project quiet .... (for now!)

  5. Apologies for the *impatient* bump; I have a call with the dealership tomorrow and need confirmation if the reversing sensor behaviour is normal or not????

    Hellllllp please? Doesn't anyone else have the sensors on their 370?

    Thanks a million folks

  6. As some of you know, I've recently swapped my MY06-350z for a MY10-370z Roadster; and I am lurrrrrrrvin' it. teeth.gif

    One thing that is bugging me..... I am unsure if my reverse sensors are working correctly - and would welcome other 370z owners to comment;

    In the link below - I've uploaded a MP3 sound clip (apologies for the poor quality) - this is how it sounds when I initially put the car into reverse; there are no obstacles / obstructions; ...and if it is faulty - then I'll need to get her booked in to get them fixed.

    You'll hear a long string of beeps...... is this normal? headhurt.gif

    On other cars I've driven with sensors - you usually get one beep to acknowledge reverse - then silence....................

    CLICKY LINKY...

    Thanks for reading ! ..and commenting.

    EDIT - Link fixed.......

  7. I used the InCarTec Fascia 50-306 [DOUBLE-DIN FASCIA KIT (for MY2006 > ONWARDS)] in my HU install - see thread > viewtopic.php?f=27&t=58783

    To be honest - none of the fascia kits are a 100% match to OEM (see the photos in my thread); ...and all of them end up with a small gap between the fascia and HU.

    The manufacturer supplies their own 'finisher' trim - but you'll likely not be able to use that without either modifying the ICT Fascia (would require cutting down) - or you just leave the manufacturer's 'finisher' surround trim off completely; (dump it!)

    If you take your time - when fitting the HU - I used little pieces of card around the HU to get a symmetrical 'gap' around the HU - the end result will be pretty good.

    I know some forum members have used things like 'foam tape' to close the gap between the HU and the fascia; but TBH - if you get the HU central to the fascia - it will look nice and neat.

    Good luck - and I'm sure the other forum members will be along soon to contribute their valuable advice.

    Cheers

    100th POST - Hurrah !

  8. Genuine 350z FLOOR MATS; these are the heavyweight ones with the embroidered 350z logo on them;

    Thes mats have seen little wear, as I’ve done less than 2000 miles of driving in 18 months; my Z is a weekender ! :teeth:

    These mats are in tip top condition and from a *smoke free vehicle*.

    These cost around £65 a set from the dealers.

  9. As per my previous post - I'm now the proud owner of a 370z Roadster, so I'm selling off a few bits and bobs from my MY06 / 2007 facelift 350z Coupe;

    Next up...... Drivers Side Door Handle; it's not in perfect condition and has been re-touched on the edge [see photos]; I replaced this handle with a new one that was purchased from the stealers; and wrote a GUIDE on how to change it.

  10. Hey folks

    As I'm now the proud owner of a new 370z Roadster - I'm having a bit of a sale of a few items from my MY06 / 2007 facelift 350z Coupe;

    Let's start with the Bluetooth Adapter

  11. Will370z - grand advice, as always - fella ! :D - I might give the Autoglym kit a looksie then ! ..and 100% agree on the exhaust note; when I had finished my 2nd test drive, and hopped back into the 350 - I nearly :scare: myself;

    Top tip : I already knew that any sort of high pressure jet / including snow foaming should be avoided on the roof at all costs; just use an open ended hose.

    Regarding this ....

    Big big important note however, please check that when opening and closing the doors the windows drop and don't catch the roof. I know of 3 owners on this forum that had this problem and it turns into a real nightmare. They should not do this but it's a common fault. Thankfully Rosie is all fine. If there is any evidence of wear near the window I'd walk away. Otherwise enjoy you will love it.

    The 'roof rubbing / catching' problem viewtopic.php?f=102&t=58583 I was already aware of *thanks to this forum*; that was the first thing I checked on arrival and inspection; the roof fitting is good on this one. To be honest, I was shocked with how Nissan had dealt with Roger's issue; I truly hope, *fingers crossed* that his problem gets sorted once and for all.

    Now all I need is a) a name for my new beauty......... and B) some ideas about replacement exhaust....... ha ha.

    Cheers,

  12. Afternoon folks :teeth:

    Any advice on cleaning & maintaining the soft top on the 370z roadster?

    *fingers crossed* I'll be upgrading my 2007 facelift 350z coupe to a 2011 plate (MY10) 370z Roadster this weekend; if the DVLA hurry up and transfer my private number plate over in time;

    As I've never owned a soft top before - I was wondering what products do you use and the best advice on frequency of cleaning / water proofing? How good is the proofing from factory? Any experience of how long it lasts typically before needing maintenance?

    I'm a big fan of the Meguiars stuff - and was looking at their two products for cleaning and protecting / weather proofing?

    I know that Autogrim have a kit as well; and some of the more specialist products like Raggtop etc.

    All advice welcome !

    Cheers
