The car was an 04 with 24,000 miles... So not your usual usage...

Hi chaps, just a quick one...
Been to view a Z and the clutch biting point was very high... Like the last 10% of pedal travel...
Is this normal, or a sign the clutch is on it's last legs?
Appreciate the feedback

I personally couldn't care less what that pubeheaded moron has to say about anything to be honest..........doesn't he also hate the Zed?
The TT is a birds car - fact...........lets experiment - type the following into Google and see what the first auto suggestion is "is the audi TT".........my case rests
Nothing 'birdy' about my TT. It's mint. Jerk

Awesome replies today
I went for my first proper test drive today, and i loved it So much smoother than the TT, true you don't get thrown back in the seat like you do with my remapped TT, but you get nicely eased back for what feels like forever, before you eventually change gear
Feels better than the sudden surge of power, which quickly drops off... makes my missus feel sick
Hi C.J
-
the breaks are brembo and i do seem to have some kind of slight shudder when breaking forgive me what is DTV ?
Disc Thickness Variation.........its posh for 'bollocksed warped disc'
-
Paisley use City Link, who are ULTRA crap.
Get it insured. I don't think it will make it undamaged
Here's a wheel i sent using them....
Still not got the money back

Hi chaps,
Agreed a sale for my TT, which has my private reg on...
Applied to put it on retention last week, and got the new tax disc and MOT today, still waiting for actual retention cert.
Now the new V5c takes up to 4 weeks now to arrive, do you think it's ok to sell the car before it comes back, make out a proper receipt with time and date of sale, then when the V5c comes back, fill it in and send it off and post the new keeper bit to the guy buying?

Good stuff.
Just didn't want to hear a load of people who do 20 minute commutes to be saying 5 mpg or something
-
Well these figures and the other in the 'post a pic of your mpg' thread sound fine
I only get 23mpg out of my 1.8T 225 TT
-
Well whaddya know... it works
Cheers

I bet this has been asked loads of times, but as the search engine doesn't do 3 letter words like MPG, i'm going to ask it again
So i have a short 20 minute rush hour commute to work, based on your experience, what's a realistic MPG figure for short trips like that?
I know what you're going to say, "if you're worried about mpg, get a diesel, a-hole!" and i'm not that bothered, but obviously there's a big difference between 18mpg and say, if it was 5mpg

Yeah, i forgot the mk2 TT body is almost completely aluminium.... That would be why. And yeah, they are more expensive.
Seems the rear strut brace is a bit over the top really doesn't it Has anybody ever cut it off and weighed it?
-
Just weighing up potential cars to buy (pun intended ) and noticed that the 350z is epically heavy!
Compared to 3.2 Mk2 Audi TT for example, which is listed as 1410Kg, and this has back seats, quattro etc...
What is it that makes the 350Z 1545 Kg ?!?!
Seems a shame really, the Z should be a lot faster than it is really :/ These two cars have the same 0-60 time, but the z has 30-40 more bhp.

I got bought T77 LUK for my birthday for my TT, which was ok, but never really thought about what a pain in the ass it would be when changing cars
Just had to pay my £105 to put it on retention, now have to wait a month before i'll have my V5 back and can sell my car
-
OMG that is beautiful!
Edit: to change the gay hugging smiley i used

Wondering if there's anyone here who's made the transition from a mk1 TT 225 to a Z?
This is what i'll be doing (if i ever flog mine ) so just wondering what those people thought?
I've been for a test drive in one, but you can never really drive how you want to, so do they feel quicker? My tt had a stage 1 remap, to around 250BHP, so was no slouch, but i'd really like the Z to feel faster than that.
Went to look at one yesterday, 2005 UK GT, 29,000miles, could get it for £9,500, which seems like a hell of a lot of car for the money
-
Excellent! Thanks guys I reckon 20 / 25 looks spot on
Can't wait to get Z shopping! Been trying to resist looking too much before i get my car sold.
-
Just wondering what spacers look best on the z.... haven't got my Z yet, but i've noticed that pretty much every Z i've seen has the wheels tragically disappearing into the arches maybe because i've come from the VAG scene...
So it would be great if you could show me what spacers you have.....
Cheers

Don't worry chaps, i'm almost here
As soon as i sell my TT i'll be on the lookout

I used Paisley Freight, cost me £50 for 4 19" wheels
Pleeeeaaaaaassssseeeee don't use these. I just sent 4 19" BBS LMs, one got completely mashed. They use Citi Link, who are cack.
