I had a chat with Brian's in Coulsdon. Think I'm going to go for the Alpine ixa-W407BT. Unfortunately they didn't have the correct facia in stock. Obviously it's a square-ish facia but the oe one is curved, as in; it bowes outward, does anyone know if the Alpine one is the same or is it just flat which will leave a lip top and bottom? I also forgot to ask them if the 407 has a removable face, I would've thought so, but does anyone know? Cheers, Mark.

Just want to replace the Bose unit with something I can use an ipod with, maybe touch screen. Not really sure yet. I'm just really worried about someone messing up the interior and doing a bodge job.

Can anyone recommend an ICE installer in the Surrey area? I'm so wary of them after past dealings I'd rather go to a recommended one rather some flashy looking unknown place!

I've done a lot of motorcycling and driving in France. The police are usually ok if you're 'around' the speed limit but be warned , if you go over a certain speed on the motorways, which is equivalent to 113mph if I remember correctly, they will prohibit you from driving for the rest of your stay plus hit you with a hefty fine. If there is no one else in the car who is insured and licensed to drive they will impound your car, charging you a huge fee, until you can get someone to collect it! They are also very strict on the lower speed limits through towns so when it says 50 or even 30 km/h, stick to it and everyone will be happy

Hi, I'm Mark, live in Banstead and have just been drawn away from the dark side, trading in my BMW for a Z yesterday! A couple of weeks ago a mate, Mark from Abbey Motorsports, was putting up a shed, so being helpful ..... I took his Z for a spin leaving him hammer in hand. That was it, I was hooked and had to buy one, so yesterday I parted with my BMW and a bag of cash to take possession of a late '04 Sunset orange ( probably not the correct name??) Z. Loving it but just know I'm going to be spending money on ... stuff!
