As I was leaving the gym on Saturday morning I drove off to find a piece of paper flapping under my wiper.
So I pulled over to investigate and it was 350Z-UK.com flyer!
Mine was the (dirty) Blade Silver Zed parked out side Fit Club in Wymondham.
Are you a member?

I got 6 plugs for around £60, local Nissan quoted £30 each!
They also quoted 2 hours labour, so i was looking at around £300 all in.
Main staeler by name, mani stealer by nature!!
Opted to do it myself, a little fiddly, but for my first attempt sucess in under 2 hours!
-
Great job, they all look great.
Very shiny.
-
Very nice.

In one.
To lift 1300 tonnes the caisson is submerged to 7 m which drops the weight to 850 tonnes.
Airbags then lift it to 650 and the jobs a good one. Very clever stuff though.
The finished product should look like this.
The old bridge is 140m high, this one is 220m. I dont like heights.
Impressive, I wouldn't want to be in charge of the maths, get it wrong and watch the crane keel over and sink!!
The use of Cassion's has been round for a very long time, simple(Ish) ideas are alway the best ones.
220m, wow!
.... 3...2...1.....bungee........
-
Crane lifting twice it's max is interesting and clever!!
Erm, footing for a new bridge?
-
Good luck, I hope all goes well.

Nice looking skis, are they kung Fujas?
Yeah mate there K2 Kung Fujas 189cm beasts! Still learning with them as my last skis were 178cm so these feel HUGE!
Wow they are huge!!
I'm on 174 Line Prophet 90's.
But have been tempted by something wider and with some rocker/early rise.
May have to test a pair or two out on this years trip.
-
Wow, that is amazying.
Would look great on my desk!!
(But pretty distracting)

link to a site selling all Go pro stuff;http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/GoPro_Hero_Range
I buy my stuff from the US as I travel to the US on business quite often.
Great selection on there too.
-
Great video adn well edited too.
I've been looking to get one for a while, but need to save some pennies.
Off to Val Thorens in just over a week and a half, so probably get one for next years trip.
Nice looking skis, are they kung Fujas?
-
Epic, i dont think other words come close really.
Loving your work.
-
Great challenge, did it last year in under 20h raising pennies for the RNLI.
I'd defo' recommend doing a practice walk on all of them if you are keen on getting a good time.
(Did Snowdon twice, Scafell twice and Nevis once before the big day!)
One wrong turn in the dark or bad weather will soon mess you up.
We met a team on one of our practices that had taken a wrong turn and finished outside the 24h.
Nevis is probably the most enjoyable due the the variation of terrain, Scafell is probably the worst!
Snowdon has jog able sections if you are running short on time towards the end.
We had snow and 20m visibility up Nevis on our practice walk, map and compass will be necessary if visibility is poor.
Some big drops!! Plenty of snow up top at times too, combined with 50mph winds means take plenty of layers etc.
Other than that the big key is nutrition, good quality food, little and often!!
Happy to try and answer any questions etc if you have any.
Hope it goes well and you raise lots of money.
And have fun!!

A little OTT!

Thanks, I'd like to think I'm not the only one to make a school boy error, fingers crossed it's easily fixable!!
Lesson learnt - More Haste, Less Speed!!
-
If thats all thats gone wrong your a lucky boy!
Yes, shouldn't have been rushing and paid more attention.
I was pleased the replacement batery had a red terminal cover and the wrong one didn't.
Still, more attention required.
-
I did think about changing the whole unit for a new one, but my concern is that the internal fuse will blow again and I'll need another new one!
-
I know this problem was caused by me, but can someone shine some light on how to correct it please???
Basically my battery went flat, so I got a replacement one, easy!
I made the assumption that it was the same as the old one, but it turns out the terminals were the wrong way round!!
Needless to say, assumption is the mother of all f*** ups!
Clamps touched terminals, sparks and a pop.
So, I got the battery changed for one with the terminals the right way round.
On fitting it there was no power and I spotted one of the built in fuses in the positive terminal had blown.
Desperate to get her back on the road, I took a fuse holder and connected around the blown fuse, checking which terminals to connect it to first and putting in a fuse to match the blown one.
Well, it seemed to work fine, last weekend I did a number of trips, turning it off and on etc, no problem at all. Tried all the elec things, windows, lights, air con etc, all fine. Only thing not to work was the stereo!!
Also added a grounding kit at the same time.
This weekend has been somewhat different! The fuse has now blown 3 times when turning the engine off and once whilst idling at traffic lights. And the engine warning light has come on the dash.
Any ideas greatly accepted.
Cheers

Great going guys.

Possibly the same one I saw after a practice climb up Scafel before doing the 3 peaks.
Does nice food in there too!

Hi SteveW,
Great info thanks for that, appreciated.
Cheers rtbiscuit too, a few to choose from!!
Also found this the other day
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performan ... -silencers
(If you go to the home pace and rol over performance there's a pic of a Zed!!)
I like the idea of clamping it on to see how it fits/sounds etc, then getting it welded afterwards.
Also, with cutting the pipe to fit it, you get a bit of scope to make it say 10mm longer/shorter to give more/less protruding from under the bumper.
I must admit, I need to get one of the mounts modded slighly when at the welders to get the cans level!
Yes, the comments are generally good regarding tke K1's voice!!
Hope to get a free weekend soon, so I can get under the car and have a measure up.
Have a good weekend guys.

Hello and
Flyered - Me!

Morning Craig,
I was one of the idiots flipping the large tyre in the carpark!!
(The sun was shining and I didn't fancy cardio)
Well, to confuse matters the missus uses it as well.
I'm the guy who usually wears an Australia ALF jersy for the Geelong Cats!
She is one of the few women who use the free weights!
Not sure on our plans for this weekend, but keep me posted. If she's studying, I'll try and pop over.
Cheers
Steve
