I'm painting my door handles this morning and have them off the car but now I'm looking to take the inner handle away from the outter part of the handle to do a better job. Is this possible or do I have to paint them as one unit. Chris

I did away with my aerial and have a glass mounted internal one. It does the job (not that I listen to the radio much) and with the aerial gone for me it improves the look ten fold!

I am selling my bumper on Ebay and have just been asked a question and wanted to clarify the answer before I reply. I have a OEM bumper from a 2003 coupe Zed. I have been asked if this bumper will fit a 2007 convertible Zed. Hope someone can clarify this so I can give him an answer. Cheers, Chris.

Quite suprised to how many of you are from the Leicester area as I never see many Zeus around. The dent man we use was crazy when he came to us, he stopped taking calls in the end as his phone was going none stop. Not sure when we will start having cars in to repair, I have heard of a few write off's but none with Lexus. I haven't cleaned mine since the hail and I keep finding a few small dents and I'm now scared to clean it and see the real damage. (might be the excuse I need to get a face lift bonnet though)

After finishing the front bumper and getting that on I'm after the rear spats so I can get that rear bumper done now so does anyone have a pair of these?

At lunch today we had 16 quotes sent out all around the 6k mark to repair damage from the hail. I work not too far from the centre of the city and it was bad enough to do a bit of damage but as it moved out to thurmaston that's where we have seen most damage coming in from. As soon as we have the first car come in I will get a photo up to show how bad. I have even heard of a few having windscreens smashed in :-s

Well not sure if this crazy whether hit everyone but it hit Leicester and it hit us bad. We had hail come down like a water fall and it was the size of golf balls :-s I work at Lexus and most of the cars outside are covered in dent and my 350 didn't get away with it but only suffered two from a quick inspection. Did anyone else experience this wheather?

Thanks guys. There are a few inparfections that I need to sort but I'm very happy with the outcome. Next months job might be the rear bumper. Mitz, I'm thinking I might need 19" wheels now to give a bit more clearance. (might mean selling body parts though :-( )

Ok, so here are a few quick photos I have taken.

Right. The grande unveiling is near! I finished, sprayed and managed to fit the bumper today. It is a bit tight under the lights and need to order some new bolts and the clips that you screw into located in the arch but I have to say I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out. There are a few bits that I will alter when I spray it again but will let everything settle and see how things go, as it's pretty low at the front now! When I get to my laptop I will up load some pictures :-)

Well this should be off the car tomorrow so if your interested it can be yours. Would you want it painted in a choice of your colour (at an extra fee) or in primer?

Thanks. I managed to get this off eBay. Just randomly flicking through and spotted it. I made a snap decision to buy it as it is a genuine nismo so hoping it fits with no modifications but it will be test fitted before I spray it just to double check.

Thanks for the comments. I have had no free time at work at all so this will be picked up again on Saturday. Might be a bit of a long shot to get it ready and painted on Saturday, but hopefully if I get all the prep done I can paint it during the week.... That's the plan anyway. As soon as its done I will get some pictures up.

Thanks for the comments. I prefere the n1 to the n2 just due to the contours of the bumper so this should be a happy medium. As for the centre I was thinking of cutting that out but for the time being it will be a black mouth and gm bumper. Once this is done I need to get my hands on side skirts and spats :-)

Well after finally getting my hands on one of these it wasnt long until the smoothing began. I didn't really get a lot of time during the week so hit it hard on Saturday, hoptfully get the final finish ready for spraying next weekend.

To have it painted it would be an extra £150.

There must be someone out there that wants this bumper.

You could always buy it now and then you have the bumper ready and waiting for when your car is sorted...
