  1. The only one i can see that may be possible to plug in the wrong way round is the one that plugs into the existing throttle sensor in the car, but i plugged mine in the same way that i took the other one out as it clicks when its situated, i imagine you wouldnt get a click if you had it in the other way round.

the one on the right in this pic?

The one on the left is the plug I had my suspicions with initially as it doesn't seem to push in far enough

  2. I had the exact same problem mate, and im 100% sure I didnt have this illusive plug that is poorly designed the wrong way round.

You cant actually plug it in the wrong way round imo, it just doestnt seem to plug in far enough (perhaps the design of the connector has changed as it will not locate trying the other way around)

I too would love to find out how you get this to work, like you say there is three things to connect how can one possibly get it wrong?

edit: is the one you can possibly plug in the wrong way round the one that actually plugs into the car, or the extra loom part that daisy chains into the throttle controller?

  3. one of these (not my pic)

Then a grande punto sporting T-Jet, blue, leather interior etc. Silly me bought it brand new at a cost of 14k when the turbos came out  (not my pic)

  4. have a go at baking them in the oven on a low heat yourself to split and clean up then reseal.

If that goes tits then maybe source some new ones, but shouldnt be too bad. I did that on my old VX220 and am considering doing it to the zed's lights as they have got dirt inside.

  5. I really dislike the Marcos' normally, however the GT3 and GT2 versions are a tad nicer :p

Think this is one of the ones that runs in the Dutch Supercar Challenege. I remember the one that was brought to Donnington had some crazy aero, but couldnt find a pic of that one.

  6. Fitted my XYZ coilovers the other weekend, not overly difficult. One tip for the fronts is get the whole front of the car up and on stands will make your life a million times easier due to the ARB being under stress so removing the drop link on either side is impossible with one side on the floor...

  7. I personally would do an LS V8 conversion...just to throw that into the mix (not cheap mind you)

Then if one got bored with an NA V8 power you could always stick a harrop on top and see 600bhp easily enough lmao

  8. So how does this work??? I have a dyno graph from Abbey which says...

    282.4bhp

Is that worked out at the hub? So how do I work out the WHP figure?

Time for an update on this list???

If you take off about 15% as an average for drivetrain losses you will get around abouts your wheel HP

  9. Coilovers are a VAST improvement imo, its a must buy really. You dont even have to do a large drop in height its more the fact its stiffer and the fact that you can adjust your dampening settings for mood. i.e. stiffen them up for a trackday or wind them down a bit for a more comfortable ride.

I personally wound my dampening up to max and it doesnt really feel that harsh, could do with dropping the dampening down on the rear slightly for a more comfortable ride. But then again my VX220 was on coilovers (both cars) and they were set very harsh and stiff.

Also tell me about the spacers! sweet jesus lmao, I dont want to fork out £200 for spacers when I intend on buying wheels that actually fill the arches ;)

  10. Spent today attempting to make the car look pretty after I fitted my XYZ coilovers over the weekend.

Here are some pics. I want to go somewhere decent to take some nice photos with a decent camera but for now just iPhone pics im afraid :)
