Was getting married and was too embarrassed to drive to posh hotel in either my old beaten up civic or the other half's bashed in Clio 172, so part exchanged the civic and took the rest on finance. Bought the first 350z I saw!!!

Thank you all for your help. Cholula's sorted now. Was the positive terminal on the battery. AA man had to rip off the black plastic, turn the terminal upside down and add 3 washers!!! It ain't coming off now! Will get a new terminal at end of month.

Other half's said no to updates, he's recording it but thank you for the offer!! I've never read so much of my manual before and history of car. She's been a bit of a tart - 6 previous owners. Started her life in Gloucester and been to Glasgow and Perth!!

Found the one in the footwell but can't tell whether any of the fuses are open or not. Electrics seem to come on of their own accord. Interior light came on and electric seat moved even with no key in ignition!! Tried starting and got lights on dash and 12 volts of power but engine wouldn't start. Electrics just died. In asda car park so made full use of facilities (pee and coffee) while waiting for aa. Thankfullly not on my own!!

Can't see it. Looked under the mat. Is it under the carpet - would need to rip it out!!!

Where's the fuse box in the passenger compartment??

There's nothing on volt meter. Even that doesn't come on. Going to have a look at battery connections in case jet wash has dislodged any. Phoned the aa anyway so waiting on them. :-( Thank you for suggestions.

Everythings been fine. Not had any problems at all, starting or otherwise. Only difference today was took her for a wash!!!

When I turn the key to on, there's nothing. Nothing on the dash lights up. Totally dead.. Could it be immobilised????

Just been shopping, come back to the zed, got it unlocked ok but no electrics to get motor started....nothing...de nada!!! Any thoughts before I phone the aa??

Cholula is the name of my zed. Cholula is a hot sauce like tabasco, but smoother. My zed is hot, very saucy, incredibly spicy, but very smoooooth. I'm so missing driving her

It was dark. Gets dark in Edinburgh about 3pm, and the little man with the ladder and the matches doesn't come round to light the lamps until about 8pm.

Nope don't have black kitted zed. Blade zed - untouched. Don't think I've had it in Peniquick, not been there for a while, except when the other half traded in his Clio 172 for a scooby WRX PPP from Nobles at Penicuik. Not sure if Michael Noble works there, I went to school with him . I'm guessing that you must have got the zed from Nobles at Loanhead, do they have the Dino hidden in there. It used to be on display when they had the garage at the Countryside. They recently had a show and had some stunning cars on display.

Taking Cholula for new boots on Saturday (not Louboutins, but they aren't from Primark either!). Saw this on a car (??) tonight in Corstorphine in Edinburgh. Couldn't see what it was on , too dark. Although can confirm it was neither a qashqai nor a micra!

Hi, name's Louise, got my Zed back in March and been lurking around this forum since then so thought it was about time I joined up and introduced myself. Zed is 04 silver (think its "blade" but not sure if entitled to call it that) GT Coupe. And she's called Cholula and I love her. I've gone through most of the newbie issues, switching on the heated seats everytime I changed gear, found that the headlamp washers are an all over power car washer, usual issues with the gear box, but when you realise its a double K rather than straight H, you're fine! There are a few other zeds around Edinburgh and a couple where I live, but you don't get an acknowledgement, Edinburgh peeps can be a bit fur coat and no knickers! I also drive the zed like a pensioner but then my reasoning is that people get more opportunity to view! Pic attached Now it comes to the tyres. I've got a mix and the rears are a bit low on tread. I've already fishtailed the car twice, thankfully didn't hit anything. I've got Bridgestone Potenza RE050A on the rear, but the treads low, and AutoGrips on the front (Arnold Cack, sorry Clark put them on) Need new rears. Car is my only ride for the winter (no cosying up for Cholula) so need grip! Any suggestions for good fairly budget tyre to get me through snow and ice in Edinburgh?
