Before I opened the thread I knew it would feature a Pork. That's why I stopped my subscription.

Twenty two percent of GTR owners have re-mapped their cars to give around 560 hp and a further twenty eight percent have theirs re-mapped to give 650 hp so in the real world....

I'd be interested in hearing about this as I am considering a similar trip in 2017. I would like to know about the state of the roads, hotel prices, and language problems if any.

Day 12 tomorrow. Only 10 more left. Heading up to a border town north of Pamplona from Vielha on some of the most iconic and stunning roads in the Pyrenees and possibly some of the best in Europe.

Watched the 3rd round of the Blancpain series at Circuit du Castellet yesterday. Fantastic result for Nissan finishing 5th out of 54 starters leaving behind a whole slew of so called super cars including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Aston Martins, Audis and some Mclarens. Made my day.
And a view

In the heart of the Tarn region near Clermont l'Herault today. Although there have been some rough roads on the French side of the Pyrenees, the ones today were brilliant. Billiard table smooth; some with fast flowing bends and others tight and twisty.

Day 1 Following the coast up to Biarritz from Bilbao then turning inland to destination at St.Jean le Vieux for the French leg of the Pyrenees tour.

On Brittany Ferries at the moment. Passed the Pointe de Roscoff about 2 hours ago. Scheduled arrival in Santander tomorrow is 14:15

Was good to see Gumpy (?) again, although briefly because my time in Tesco's was running out. Probably should have taken mine because so far, the weather has behaved.

The Sheringham car show is a very popular event attracting hundreds of cars and spectators every year. The entire high street plus car parks near the sea front are made available for display.
The date for your diary is Sunday,12th June. The event runs from 10am until 4pm. To get a good spot it is advisable to get there between 9 and 9:30.

Hunting around for breakdown cover, seems a few wont come near me because of my ageing car!
GreenFlag seem ok, but they are asking £90 for 5 days cover
Did you get fixed up ok? I found this astonishing as we have the annual premium cover including Europe with Green Flag for two cars including the Nissan for £161. If I have a problem with either one, they will recover the car to a. the nearest garage, b. a garage of my choice, or c. my home address.
They have also confirmed that since I'm not using the oem runflats and don't have a spare, that they will come out and deal with a puncture or uplift the car to the nearest garage.

I'm surprised a thread hasn't been started on here about Duxford, Monday, 2nd May. One of the largest regional car shows.

I finally decided to scrap ideas for southern Spain as it looked difficult to put together consistently good roads and find hotels with character and charm that also had secure and accessible parking.
So, back to the Pyrenees, France and green Spain. 3 weeks and two days with 3 layovers and taking in the Blancpain race at Paul Ricard. Here's the route.

17days to 3 weeks.

This is sort of a bump as I'm getting some good ideas from 370ZRDevon but here is my route map so far. I have done Green Spain to La Coruna, Santiago de Campostela and Oporto plus the Pyrenees and Picos de Europa 3 times so I'm really looking for some good info for a bit further south. I prefer to avoid the Costas and Gibraltar though.

Take Dan with you
Brilliant idea, but I don't think he would come in my car.

I'm planning to do a trip to Spain in June and am looking for some advice, particularly the southern bit. I know my old friend Dan has done this so please fire away. Routes, towns, hotels, things to see all mucho appreciated.
