  1. Whole hog and then when the K1 is off have it smelted in a local steel works to ensure that it never defiles another car again

+1 for everything. A zed deserves decent parts and an uprev! :teeth:

  2. 350z paul was 17 or 18 when he got his zed and then 20 or 21 when he got his r35 gtr.

His brother was 17 with a 370z and is currently 19 or so with a c63 amg coupe ;) infact he has just bought a cosworth impreza also

Blimey, I've always wondered how people can afford to buy/insure nice cars at that age! I didn't even have the dosh to buy a car at 17 and at 19 I just had a sh*tbox mk 4 escort that cost me 400 quid!

  3. Great album you're palying there dude  How are you finding the reposnse of the unit? I have the (I think) slightly older 9260 unit and it's soooo sluggish.

I do love a bit of Pantera to help me wake up for work! ;)

The system is pretty fast. It seems to take around 10-15 seconds (after the initial splash screen) before it's fully responsive, although I work in computing so I was expecting a bit of 'turn-on lag'!

Interesting, Kenwood must have sorted out the software a bit then - the 9260 response time when navigating menus is terrible! Was hoping a software update would fix it but it's still the same only now my unit won't remember to store itself at -1 degree screen angle! Glad you're enjoying your unit though mate, and looks B)

  4. Wheel wobble at 70 mate. Turned out to just be tracking and front tyres have worn excessively on the inside shoulder too. Took it to a place called The Garage just off the High Street. Seemed fairly ok for shed purposes. What places were you thinking of? Would still be interested to know for future reference. Cheers

  5. Afternoon all,

Was wondering if anyone could recommend me a reputable garage in Ruislip with reasonable rates? May need to get a couple of things on the shed checked out fairly sharpish and feeling too lazy to take a trip to Abbey for non-zed issues!

    Cheers

  6. I think you'll have to go for an arch roll with those bad boys mate and maybe some combination of more camber/stretched tyres. I have 9.5j ET22 (front) and 10.5j ET22 (rear) and in my opinion that's the perfect fitment for zeds. No need to roll the arches and a nice flush fit.

Check out Buster's car on here though.I think he has a build thread and is running some serious poke with a very low zed at the moment.

  7. Used to love reading your thread. Always always wanted one of these. Would be my first lottery purchase, even over Italian super cars I want., a nice black spec v.

    Here you are bud :)

If a pokey little dealer that sells 10K cars in Barry actually has that for sale I will eat my own face

When I was searching for mine, there was a bayside blue car with 12KM on the clock, it was £120k though :scare:

 you do have to wonder!

    Yikes £120k?!? Crazy money.

Anyway, here's my contribution - was trying to find the Datsun 510 that was in Banzai a few months back. This may be it, not sure, but either way it's bloomin' lovely I think. Black 240 near the top of the thread is :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: too

  8. Hi buddy, I don't think you'll get an off the shelf unit into the cubby hole - you would need to replace the factory HU.

A few people on here have put tablets etc into the cubby though and linked them up to the audio, which seems to work quite well. Sure someone will be along shortly with more expertise than I have  One word of advice I do have is don't buy Kenwood! My unit works ok and has good features/nav but the user interface is very sluggish and the unit is a bit flaky.

RT Biscuit was looking to manufacture a system for the cubby recently I believe so maybe worth sending him a PM too.

  9. You could get a smart repair done on that I would have thought. Don't be too mad with yourself - I've just done one of mine for the second time in as many months! Tis easily done if you're running a slight stretch on your tyres (that's my excuse anyway! ). Where are you based? I know a good place in North London who I've used before and you can't tell where they've repaired the rim at all. I'd have to dig out their details later on if you're interested.
