At the moment (as I haven't bedded the brakes in yet) it's just the wheels/spacers/tyres that are making the difference. I only really upgraded my discs as my rear's needed replacing, so for the price I thought I might as well upgrade them all to a step above standard.

Likewise our 10 stone Rottweiler!!!! Where my parents live several houses were broken into despite all sorts of fancy alarm systems - the ones left alone were the houses with resident dogs +1 Our EBT is soft as pooo! But she looks mean

Right... New DBA 4000 Discs New DS2500 Pads New (well, new to me) original GT Rays alloys New Michelin Pilot Sport 2's Dear GOD!... it like a NEW freakin' CAR!!!! Gotta throw out thanks to ZManalex, Sarnie, Ekona and everyone else who has helped me with this. Oh and also Penfold who bought my old alloys so I could afford the PS2's!

No worries fella, I'm just glad that someone listened to me for a change and hasn't run off and either bought budget 452s or gone onto mixed tyres! :lol: Give us a review once you've got them on and they're settled in, I'd love to know what you think of them compared to the VUS. I can understand WHY they would run off and buy cheaper ones (NO idea why you would buy mixed though!) I mean the jump from VUS to PS2 is a BIG one. If I hadn't of bought my brakes, I think I would have settled for the VUS. Just gotta go an fetch them tomorrow now See how BAD the drive to the tyre place is with my "mixed batch" that I have on the standard alloys... There is a different tyre on each corner!

Right... just sold my lalloys to Penfold... So, decision has been made. I am off to get the PS2's!!!! Defo the right thing to do, why have great brakes if the tyres are going to not be up to the job? SO.... WHAT SIZE DO I ORDER FOR STANDARD GT Rays?!?!?! 245/45/18 and 225/45/18? Does that sound right?

Sounds spot on! So... ringing round... as I need these tyres ASAP... the only ones I can get hold of this week are either the PS2's or RE050's 724 for the Potenza's 760 for the PS2's .... so I am guessing for the extra forty notes I should really go for the Michelin's....?

So I presume they are for racing really? I am not adverse to paying extra for tyres... that is the whole point. My pockets are a little shallow at the mo due to my DBA/DS2500 upgrade all round. So I need to justify the extra cost of the PS2's over the VUS. I don't push the car THAT hard... Im thinking the PS2's might be over kill for a weekend car that I don't push too hard...

Pricey... to be expected I suppose... Are they really THAT much better than the Sassanta's?

Indeed, I would suggest 4 different makes, 1 for each corner just to make weekends interesting Seems no-one has any Falcons OR ULTRACS in at the moment I have been offered Yokohama Advanced Sport ... anyone heard of them? £10 MORE a corner than the Ultracs....
