Team, I'm going to look at a March 2008 car tomorrow (GT with factory sat-nav/private sale). The price is a very reasonable £14.5k although it's got 45,000 miles on the clock. The bad news is that it needs a new set of tyres and is on the original brake pads and discs (motorway driving). It will also need a P1 very shortly. How much would I expect to pay for all this? Also should I get an AA inspection or give it a miss since the car is still under the manufacturers warranty? Will hopefully be taking a knowledgeable colleague with me. Cheers

Thanks. I've just had 3 weeks of hell @work trying to get a project finished. I should have a bit of downtime from next Wednesday to concentrate on my car search. It's just been too difficult trying to fit it in aound 13 hour working days.

Ar*e! Was going to go and look this morning but I got a fault sent to me that I had to resolve. By the time that I had fixed it the car was sold!!!! £2-3k that fault cost me!!!!

I spoke to the seller yesterday and somebody was looking at the car at 16:00. No doubt they will have snapped it up. Unfortunately I am doing very long hours in work so couldn't even take a look at lunchtime although it was only 14 miles from my office. Nevermind I don't mind paying an extra 2-3k for black leather seats

Hi All, I'm still looking for my 350z and spotted this on autotrader. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201035367218050/usedcars?atcide=emgm3&logcode=emf The price seems pretty good although I must admit that I could give the "tan" seats a miss. Can you see any glaring faults/problems that I have overlooked. No mention of service history so would have to double check that. Cheers Boyd

Definitely don't get it from PC World they are the worst!!!! BMW Dealers give you better customer service!! If you have got kids you might be able to get a student discount. I have worked with PCs for the last 24 years and have a house full of them. They are nothing but trouble. They just seem to get slower and slower with age even if you reload the operating system. My wife bought an iMac 2.5 years ago and it has been faultless and is still as fast now as it was when she bought it. Turns on in 10 seconds and she is read to work, My current fancy Windows laptop can take 20 minutes to power up!!!! I will never buy another PC

Is it still under manufacturers warranty? 4. What's the non-oem exhaust all about? (newbie question I know) 5. Why did you get black wheels? I suppose it saves on cleaning. I might be interested. Whereabouts are you and does the car have Bluetooth?

Is it the 06 facelift model? I can never tell the difference. Just about got the hang of the 07 bumper bulge. Newbie? Moi?

I'd definitely be interested if it had about 30k miles less on the clock! (Yes I know that these cars run and run but I might do 30k miles next year alone.)

I have had a look and the car looks really nice. Have you got any photos of the interior. What's the condition like inside. Don't know how I could explain to the wife that I am swapping my BMW for a car twice the age with twice the mileage

I wish it was in the Bournemouth branch of Meridien as it's only about a mile from my house. I can't afford £17k though so there is no point in me looking. My local Westover branch have got a 2008 and they want £19k even though it's not got sat-nav. It was £21k until a couple of weeks ago which is outrageous. I think that they have had it since at least last winter as it appears to be covered in ice on one of the photos. I really don't want to spend over £15k so this is going to be a struggle!
