I had the plenum spacer & uprev done with abbey,think it came to about £800 inc the dyno(money well spent),my gains were only about 10bhp but due to the up rev it felt much more,imo its the best mod,cant see it wearing the clutch faster,as for traction only in the wet have i lost any that i never planned to.
  2. Think you need the re-flash to trick the ecu,i had the plenum done at the same time as the flash,re the de-cat i dont want to much noise,i spoke to scott at abbey & im leaving it to there reccomendations,booking it in soon i will post the dyno results.

Yes take your time,when you do the first coat of dye it wil prob looked streaky but after about 5 light coats it looked brand new,they give you some gloss to add to the dye if you want a shiney finish,imo it looks better without,a day after i app the last dye i then app conditioner,anther tip is only dye the bits that need doing as the liq leath is perfect match
  4. Just viewed your supe, nice moter,thats prob at least a second quicker to 60 but ide doubt if you would lose a z round some 2nd&3rd bends as the supes are bitches getting the power down

Ive had na & tt supra's,standard tt supe is quicker but not loads,the z needs more working thou,the z handles so much better & i much prefer the driving exp of the z,imo the supra is now dated&basic,i had supe's for 7 years & enjoyed every min of owning them i just think the z is progress,as for modding the good thing about the supe is throw a grand at it & an extra 50-70bhp is easy the same money will get you no more than 15bhp on the z,if thats not enough then either buy a converted tt z(seen 1 for 20k) or get a r33/34,i would not swap my z for any supe its like going from video-blu-ray

  7. Mine come out like a water canon,everytime i try & turn esp off i push the headlight washers by accident,alls happens when ive waxed my moter,my spray reaches the boot!!
  8. I did doubt it but i got 11bhp doing it on my na supra,i got 9bhp on my z with just a plenum spacer & uprev,prob get it done as its quite a cheap mod and easy to reverse.
  9. Hard to tell from the vid,its louder,do you notice much in the cabin?have you had it on a dyno? thanks for your input.
  10. Thinking about de-catting,i sure somewhere you could expect between 10-15bhp gains,is this true?I want to keep the sound close to stock,dont mind a bit more db but not loads,anybody no how much louder this set up would be?i know about the mot issue's,any imput will be app.
  11. yes perm live on radio,think its the yellow,easy perm live is hazzards.
  12. gordon_lamb_holdings does them on ebay£66 for the front mats,i hav a set of mats in not bad nick(fronts) pass side great nick,drivers bit of wear under heal,no rips or tears,£27 deliverd.

  14. The bhp is the same but you get 100% power so yes you will get to 85mph quicker,i was told 0.5 quicker to 60,dont know for a fact if thats true but the moter feels much quicker,imo the uprev is the best first mod.

You dont get more bhp from up rev but you get all the power available in 1st,2nd&3rd &revs higher,since i had my uprev done my car feels much quicker & may be in my head but better mpg,my only bhp gains were 9bhp from the fitting of my plenum spacer,the car feels much better than the 3% gain from the plenum spacer,talk to mark\scott at abbey there the guru's.
