Just a short sound clip of my new exhaust, sounds even better when low mid rev range at low speeds, got a lovely burble Didnt want to rev the nuts off it and the exhaust still needs to bed-in so will take another vid in a week or two.

Is yours a manderal bent system or crush bent jay? I asked for the custom x pipe and jdm look alike tail pipes, for the time and amount of metal used to make the system I'm very happy about the cost of it all, just waiting on another tail pipe as the supplyers sent the wrong ones but its funny having a set of pee shooters making so much noise lol

you can kind-of see the x pipe in the pic, going back 2moz as they didnt have the tail pipes I wanted, will take more photos then. As for planet performance(funky powers garage and head quarters,i think) they were A1 to me Andy the fabricator started at 8am and worked straight through till 11pm!!!! to get the work done as I needed the car today. It sound gr8 dont know if i want it to change lol.

I managed to somehow fit an ice hockey kit bag(biggest bag of kit of any sport) and some over nite bags in the boot altho I only had a 1" gap to view out the back because of it. I do motorway miles and I like to put my foot down quite a bit and some how im still geting 28mpg! If you cant find a GT have you thought about an import high spec model I got one and saved a couple grand over a UK model and only cost me £70 more to insure over a UK GT

Yeh going to try with a saw and wee drill holes 2moz and if it works i would probs keep it for shows until i did more research on melting points. Where is the best place to buy a couple feet of alu? lol As for joining alu I may have a problem (its a bitch to weld with and dont have the equipment at home) As for epoxy weld im unsure? Any other ideas? mabe just some rubber seals?

Think its either 3 or 4mm perspex im using and takes a while with the heat gun to bend it into shape. Going to give it a small heat expansion with regards to bolt holes, but only connecting it to the intake mounting bracket which should be strong enough to take its weight. I looked and have seen some values of 130 C for melting point, not quite sure the temp is under the bonnet in that area. Have been told im a daft prat by my dad and to stop and use aluminium instead so no chance of melting=fire. Will complete my project then mabe make one outta thin alu so its bendable with my hands or a bender robot. Going to use one of those circle cutting tools 70mm to make the hole for the air to flow through. but my dad has put me off a bit.

Just thought I would post a pic of my heat sheild project im workin on. bought the car with the induction kit attached and most of u guys have heat sheilds on them so thought I would make my own outa plexy, not sure how effective it will be tho? Need to bend another bit for the bottom of the filter and not sure yet what glue to use to join the two bits. Going to cut holes so they can screwd onto the intake black sensor houseing.

This is what im thinking about asking them to build me Yeah I read that on a site somewhere too IanS16, trying to base my desision on stuff from mustang and other V6 forums.

Hi no one seems 2 want to comment on my other thread regarding a custom exhaust so just thought I would ask which would YOU go for a H or X pipe if you had a true dual exhaust system. As for Y thats not for me.

Yeah that would be great thanks, just been annoyin me as the boot has a little vibration noise from it and believe that is the problem i.e. missing stopper.

Hi im missing one of the rubber stoppers underneath the boot beside the strut. Does anyone have one or a place to get one from? Nissan dealer quoted £36, I said no surprisingly as a 2inch rubber spring thing did not seem worth that much in my opinion .

Lovely figures, how many miles has the engine got on it? Cant wait to save up for a S/C!
