Hi guys and girls, i feel this is a really stupid question but im looking at a new exhaust for the zed. As far as i understand it there are 2 cats (i presume this as correct because the aa told me it was the left one that caused an error code a while back) In what order does the exhaust flow, y pipe, cats, backbox? The reason i ask is in the pictures of alot of exhausts you have one long SINGLE pipe then the backbox included in the sale. How does this work? ive attached a pic to show you what i mean thanks kev

Hi guys and girls, i really want a double din headunit for my zed. Ideally would like it to have satnav but it must have bluetooth. Thinking i would rather have a higher spec 2nd hand unit than buy low spec brand new. My budget is £3-400. Like the pioneer units but openminded. Any recommendations? any places to buy secondhand? looked on ebay but not much on there. thanks kev

Hi guys and girls, ive been mega busy with work and completely forgot the zed is being service on tuesday. Its a trusted independant im using who has agreed to just charge the labour if we buy the parts. I have had a look at nissan service history and it recommends replacing the following for a P3 Oil filter Oil LSD gear oil (except viscous coupling type) front wheel bearing grease brake fluid air cleaner filter pcv filter spark plugs cabin air filter Can anyone help with what makes of filters / oil to use. I want it to be done to oem standard or better. thanks kev

ive always used tesco which is now called momentum i think. its got the highest ron rating at 99. im presuming thats a good thing

i think rt biscuit is right. you wouldnt be adding 23 bhp to the 300 the car already has. by having 95 ron supermarket petrol you would be running at 277 bhp. as said the impreza and the zed are very different cars so it may differ. as for proving it. thats exactly what fifth gear did. it was done on a rolling road with official torque and power graphs/figures etc

i know i doubted it myself, i may have exagerated as ive just found this on another forum I was way out with 40 but i think 23bhp is a decent difference. one that you should definately notice

not sure about mpg but it apparently has a big difference to bhp. Fifth gear did an independant test on 3 cars, supermini, saloon and a performance car (subaru impreza). it didnt make much difference at all on the non performance cars but on the scooby it made a huge difference about 40-50 bhp if i remember correctly. it may be different with the 350z being a bigger engined non turbo car though

yep, and if you got a router inside your lan you need to setup NAT to the DVR, remember that it'll be public facing... (so keep it as secure as you can, https and good secure password) lol, thanks for the reply but you just said alot of stuff i dont understand I have broadband through a router with wireless that is protected by WEP?

i wouldnt agree on the expensive thing. i may be wrong as it was 2008 we went but we took a £1000 spending money for the two of us for a fortnight and we spent it all but ate what we wanted where we wanted. big advantage we had was that we dont drink so there was hardly any of that spent on alcohol, just shopping, eating and activities.

what are the wheels on the black Z? They're the Gram Lights I believe. Very expensive?!

Hi guys and girls, I really want to install a cctv system in my house with internal and external cameras. I would like these to be live i.e connected to the internet so that i can view them through my iphone (via an app- first one i have seen is called icatcher but i beleive there are a few). anybody have experience of this? thanks kev

yep we went in 2008 also. absolutely the best holiday i have ever had and we've been all over the place. We stayed in http://deauvillebeachresort.com/ 6701 collins avenue. The hotel was ok, good gym and pool area but nothing special however the private beach was brilliant, we spent many an evening sat on the beach just chilling with some nice drinks. Miami is amazing you can get anywhere by bus for a flat rate of $1.50. Although we found the local people quite miserable there wasnt a single thing we didnt like. the food, the buildings the beach, the cars... just everything so much so i proposed to my girlfriend on miami beach 14th avenue! if you want to know anything else feel free to ask me, if i can help i will!

thanks ian for the reply. tbh i am a little disapointed that you cant get them in manual but like many you have said i think it will have to be test driven to see whether i gel with the box. I like the idea of lazy driving with an auto when your just commuting etc but if the paddles dont let you drive like a manual does then i dont think i will like it. i like a spirited drive every now and then and if you cant down change etc with the auto getting involved then i think it will be frustrating.
