  1. Hi all

Im thinking of doing a simple cheap mod to add a reversing camera and monitor for the cubby hole. For when the mrs borrows the car :headhurt: What id really like to know is has anyone bought a monitor thats a easy fit into the cubby hole. I know a 7" is the ideal size but has anyone bought a screen off fleebay that fits easily into the cubby without to much modding. All i require is video input

    Many Thanks :teeth:

  2. I like your style :#3:

I've had a similar situation this yr our first arrived and all the lads at work were saying the Z would be gone  but she's still here :teeth: The mrs has a bm 325 ti 3 dr but we've come to a agreement that we'll get rid of the bm nxt yr and she can have a more practical baby car with 5 doors :D

  3. It's a bit of a slow response from the welsh contingency!! Where is everyone?

Anyway, personally i think all welsh meets should be held in the Brecon area. Great scenery and great roads, what does everyone else think?

+1 Brecon s not far from me, I'd definitely like to attend one this yr

  4. Thanks everyone for all the replies  Weve got some really good info off everyone and will investigate all the avenues over the next couple of days, and then hopefully officially start our business

  5. Thanks for the fast replies

i would like to do it all above board to be honest ,as I dont fancy any big tax bills coming through the door. Iv been told that in the first yr of starting a business u don't have to pay tax as the government give u relief . No puns please ! I wasn't sure of this as u dont get jack xxxx off the government. Has anyone heard this before

  6. Hi

Me and my brother in law have been talking of starting up our aerial/sky installation business in our time off from our normal jobs as we both work shifts.

He did it for 10yrs previously and knows the job inside out. I'd be his apprentice as such and also director :teeth:

What I'd like to know is how easy is it to start a business ? Is it just a matter of getting tools van etc and registering the company name we'd need public liability insurance. But not sure what else ? he does a bit on the side now but with the digital changeover in April I think we could be on to a winner

    Many thanks for any replies

  7. I spent money after money on different faults on my alfa always seemed electrical faults, even had the ecu fail :wacko: in the end I decided I had to get rid so part ex ed it got a crap deal off the local stealer but just wanted rid .

Within a wk he had the car up for 1500 more than he'd gave me and sold it. Within two wks the car was seen locally on the side of the road broken down  and within a month they had the car back as the gearbox failed I know this as I know the nephew of the owner I believe it had two different faults in the month

My neighbour had the 159 from new and I know he had a few electrical problems with it

TBH I don't think id ever buy another alfa again even though I loved the car and interior , every time I drove it I was waiting expecting it to breakdown

  9. Thanks for the replies yes the lip is due to not moving the masking tape think I'll try and get some 2k wet and dry and T cut after as I don't really fancy trying to spray it again. Tbh the improvement is massive and it's ne being s bit picky.

  10. Personally I'd move the location of the boiler and flue and leave the existing flue in it's current location. Asbestos is only dangerous when disturbed and airborne I'm guessing the flue has been there thirty yrs and caused no one any harm.

  11. Hi ,

Iv recently repaired one of my badly curbed alloys thanks to a great write up on a guide on here :teeth: . I'm really happy with the outcome but after spraying there's a small lip where the paints meet  .

My question is what's best to remove the lip I was thinking of some T cut and elbow grease but I thought I'd ask on here before I did something I shouldn't.

    Thanks for any replies
