  1. Doing some more custom cable work this afternoon - Custom length sleeved ATX and PCI-E cables which should be fun. Also doing some cable management on the same build. Will try and get pictures of all that if people are interested.

This is all for someone else though.... I really want to do hardline water cooling in my system - the loop will be about £400 I reckon, but I think I'm going to wait and do it when i refresh my system. Seems little point to doing it now on my 6700k/1080 machine

Some new lighting in build today...now I think it’s finished. Well after I get some custom cabling :p

NZXT Hue+? That's what I have in mine and love it!

Yeah custom cables make a build look amazing - I make my own. They are fiddly to make, but being able to make them exactly the right length, including bends makes it worth while.IMG-20160705-WA0009.jpeg.476800722fbed66a2eb86fe5c69d4579.jpeg

It also means i can make some other cool adaptor cables such as this 8 pin pci-e to 8+6 pin pci-e extension:

Plus I now have a supplier who does about 30-40 different colours :D

  3. Haven't had a chance to take any pictures outside yet - only collected yesterday evening and it's been dark and wet since, but this was just as i was about to drive out of Nissan :D

  4. I've always loved messing about on and inside PC's - have built my own machines for nearly 20 years now and have started building some pretty custom machines for friends and friends of friends.

Thought I'd start a build picture thread :)

Here's my personal (see-through) rig at the moment:

just enjoy and wax it to your delight, ZEDITIS will soon come along and get you!!!:D soon!

Am definitely looking forward to some worry free Zedding again - I loved my 350Z but it was becoming a money pit.

    Roll on 4PM tomorrow :D

  6. Tramlining was a problem I noticed when I borrowed the dealers 370Z Nismo for a day - very noticeable compared to my 350Z

It was from Desira Nissan in Norwich - they have serviced the 350Z the entire time i had it so was happy to buy from them. Plus it was their showroom model and they were really keen to make a deal so I got a pretty great price on it!

I don't think i can afford to do much else with the car at the moment. I don't really do much in the way of mileage so the best I can do is wax for now :/

  7. Definitely going to check the spacers! Seems like a common issue - from one picture I've seen, are they just a rubber block that you pull off the forks? I assume I will need to get the weight off the wheels first?

Exhaust will certainly be looked into at some point. The demo Nismo I borrowed for a day did seem quiet.

The start button is another thing I've seen mentioned a few times - is it really worth doing?

Does anyone have any advice about how to look after the interior leather/alcantara?

  8. I'm picking up my new white 370Z Nismo from Nissan this week. I have had a black 350Z GT for the last 8 years, but have never owned a brand new car, nor a white car before so I'm after a bit of advice.

I've been having a read of some of the posts around here and there's some useful stuff on there but I still have a few questions:

    General New Car Stuff

Is there anything I should do or check when picking the car up and after getting it home? (it's only 4 miles from the dealership)

    Cleaning

Is there anything I need to do specifically to look after brand new paint?

Are there any recommended tips/products for maintaining the leather in the car?

What products would people recommend for white cars?

Do I need to worry about swirling like I did with the black 350?

    General 370Z Owners Advice

The 350Z had a few hidden bits like holding the button down to show a clock - does the 370Z have any similar hidden features?

    After-Market Stuff

When I borrowed the demo car, I noticed RCA jacks in the centre pocket - has anyone done anything interesting with these?

How easy is it to get the Sat Nav updated? (I'm too used to using Google Maps for navigation)

Any other after-market stuff I should know about?

Any other advice is also more than welcome!
