  1. Cheers guys, we are flying into Haneda, holiday includes transfers ! Really looking forward to going now, always loved the contrast of ultramodern to traditional style.

All the excursions are pre booked with an overnight stay where the snow monkeys live. Mt Fuji trip and down to Hiroshima for a few days. No doubt we will get on some other trips. Looking forward to seeing all the new gen electronics, no doubt I will need a new bag!

Comparative prices for food and drinks seem similar to here. Had heard horror stories of mega expensive meals etc, guess its a case of eating where the local eat?

  2. If its any help, my 370 has gone down from circa 21 mpg to 13 mpg. I fitted spacers to the rears on Saturday and since then fuel economy has dropped like a stone, and its cold weather, wonder if it coincidental but it's shocking!

  3. Hi,

So I had a minor ding last night which caused the actuators under the hood to fire as part of the pedestrian safety mechanism and popped the hood.

As I understand it from doing some reading these are one time use and will need to be replaced with a whole bunch of other things (front sensors, left and right hinges and the actuators themselves).

As there is no other damage except for a slightly scuffed left front alloy this is rather annoying but oh well.

I'm debating if I should put in an insurance claim or fix it myself. Does anyone have experience with these actuators and how much they cost to replace?

    Any input much appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Jacques

Read somewhere its circa....can't recall where though!

4 K to put right.....Mark at Abbey can inhibit these things I believe. It's not going to be cheap, and they only pop at speeds above 15 mph.

  4. Guys....the point here has been slightly missed, IMO.

If your lock fails locked, you will be stuck, unable to drive anywhere then you will need a recovery. Agreed, if you remove the fuse when it's unlocked you will be ok, however, your insurance in null and void!

Mine was done under warranty with out any issues apart from the time delay. This is a common problem with the GTR btw.
