  1. Looks good dude! Just be careful.. I had a cover on my FTO and left it on for about a week once, always kept it clean etc and when I took it off it had faded the paint on the roof! Must have been a reaction between the paint and the sun / rain... :(

    Just be careful ;)

Mine was on for a month and a bit with rain sun and all sorts of weather and not a sign of any damage, this cover seems to be

  2. Will do, just remapping all ive got is a K&N panel filter, stock box supposed to be the best...

That reminds me when i looked for the ecu reset procedure on here some of the instructions were jumbled, anybody got a clean copy?

would you not just get a spacers and mrev2 while your down there? (and decats, new XYZ pipe and endbox :D)

i like your thinking but i have played around with the thought and i prefer the stock exhaust, noisy enough when you gun it but quiet and subtle when you want it to be(am i right in thinking the 06+ zorst is louder stock too), and i know there are plenty after-markets that are reasonably quiet when not gunning but TBH i dont like the costs associated to mods in general!

  3. Booked in for the 20th of sept at a top notch bodyshop, also getting my front bumper done aswell, as there was a slightly annoying imperfection on it which is being blown out so rear bumper and front bumper on one side all costing 300 - no filler job either  so it ended up costing me 200 i guess for his damage etc

but ive reported it, and you know what they say, what goes around comes around, i decided i cant afford to take the increase on my premium because being 21 and all and having a premium that is extortionate i added the claim on, they slapped on another 10% which i checked on confused.com and other insurance websites!

I imagine you will all be surprised but its the insurance i cant afford! they penalise me for being young/younger.

Young+Accident = OMFG hes going to spin the car flip it and hit 20 cars in the process. :bang:

  4. My insurance claims dept arnt open untill tuesday so ive got to wait untill then to put in a claim/ get advise... im still in 2 minds about putting a claim in... i really dont need to pay an excess + go to court for a ding in the back + possibly have a premium increse...

what about the cost of my time+grief!

What sort of repair would be needed for that kind of damage anyway? The bumper is plastic and if you look closely enough is slightly out of shape now, so sand+fill then respray?

The system isnt really fair with this kind of thing....

Does anybody know what will happen now ive reported the incident to the police? Will they contact him?

  5. Ok so i reported the incident to the police(went down to the local station), supplied them with pics, map of where it happened and filled out a long form and described the events that took place... (rothers i put down what you said) i called my insurers and let them know about the accident, but before i go ahead and submit a claim against his insurance i want to know if im going to end up with having to declare a claim!?

Thanks to everybody for all your help

I will keep you all updated :)

  6. Mate you simply can't stand for that. You know as well as we all do if you had hit him he'd probably by the type to be sat in casualy 3 hours later with a collar round his neck and his solicitors on the blower.

Bottom line is he's damaged your car - it doesn't matter if its a new bumper or a touch up. Just hope that he's insured!

Only thing is unless you can get hold of his insurance details then you'll need to claim through your insurer.......which means paying your excess until they can claim it back off him, which in turn means you have to declare a 'claim regardless of fault' when applying for your renewal (if you claim direct of his insurance I believe you don't need to declare it but don't quote me on that).

Just got to hope he's covered :scare:

all i care about is MY NCB, will i lose it? and will my premium go up?
