Blades would you care to post a pic of your car?
-
Good to know guess that clears that one up then, time to buy some wheels!
-
Cheers for the quick reply mate, any experience running 20's? In particular any issues with rubbing at a standard height, to be honest I'm not sure what the arches could swallow in terms of tyre width.
-
After reading a few threads on here I'm more than confused about spacers and offsets. Hopefully I should be picking up a set of 20's on the weekend, we'll see. I would have gone for 19's as a first choice but at the moment I just don't think I can be bothered to import a set of TE37's.
Anyway, the sizes and offsets of the 20's are:
20 x 9.5 +45 front
20 x 10.5 +25 rear
And I understand the standard Rays 18" wheels are +30 front and +33 rear. The car is at standard height at the moment and need to gauge some sort of idea as to what I'd need to do to the spacing in order to get the wheels sitting nice.

I'm more lost when it comes to wheel setup then most, I do the reading then I get it for about 2 days until I forget it again, once I find a good set of wheels I'd need to get some help from here no dought.
No one scrutinizes offset more than the Yanks, just go to any forum, you see a pic of a car think the offset looks alright and then someone comes along and rips it to parts, it is a little confusing to say the least but it really shouldn't be.

I'm looking at some 20's so it's interesting to know who's running them, spacers are definitely in order though, especially if they're 10.5 inch at the rear

N9 something i think its in the block of flats next to me, hows your car now is it all sorted
That's the one N9 POW or something. It's the same as before mate, I've been so busy with work I haven't had time to get an engineers report on it and now I'm going off to Canada for 2 weeks. I'll sort it out one day, well before august when the car is 3 years old. I haven't seen yours around yet I don't think!

23 and had my Zed for about 3 months. I don't get this mid life crisis talk you lot go on about (maybe because I'm not middle aged yet) my old man likes the Zed and he's in his 60's mind you I don't think he's gonna do a swap for his DB9. A Zed is not a midlife crisis, it's a good choice! A midlife crisis is...a new Focus RS in 'that' green. I mean don't get me wrong, I think they're animals, but a grey haired guy driving one, come on, I wouldn't even drive one in that green.

What was the reg mate? I think I have seen the one on a private reg down at the Ikea roundabout.

I have one

Absolutely gutted i was trying to bid it to £550 but my signal went on my phone just as i was bidding
It went for £535 in the end. anoyone off here?
lol my phone wouldn't refresh in time and I lost out I was putting my max bid in of 600 and the auction finished! Managed to push it up to 535. I reckon the first bid was probably someone the guy knew, happens all too often!

Tape deck in a 07 car is laughable, most people can't believe it. My old del sol was a 1992 car and came over from japan with a Gathers CD Player (standard Honda audio equipment).
Welcome though and of course I'm going to be bias I love the bulge! lol.

Damn I'd rather grab myself an old NSX-R and a standard GT-R for that money

A bit of info here about using studs - see under 'damage to roads'
Interesting!
"Damage to road, person or vehicle
If the tyre causes either damage to the road, or to persons, or to any vehicle using the road. This would cover such instances as if a vehicle with damaged or very oversized tyres which either caught against a person or other vehicle resulting in either damage or injury. Studded tyres also are included in this clause and if used in inappropriate conditions (i.e. where there is no ice or snow) and they damage the road surface then they would be clearly illegal."
So how come a bad road isn't illegal? They ruin cars!

Sorry to hear about that mate! RWD is just a dead loss at the moment, I realised that when I was moving nowhere doing nearly 120mph when I took my car out after it snowed. I swiftly got it pushed all the way home and left it there. It's not touching the road until the ice is gone. I'm sticking to FWD for the moment.

Saw this the other day on a private reg N9* PW? Anyone on here? Think it was on thursday morning I was on my way to work (about 8:20am) not in my 350 as I still can't get it out of my road I was in my 500 Abarth.

Uh oh we might have a problem now. Quite a bit fell in the night didn't it. Car is all over the place! Day off work.

There's water inside my rear window as well, it's only come on recently
-
I don't know if I should count myself lucky, the missus never wants to be dragged along to a car show haha

Hi Steve! Another member from South Wales. I'm in Cardiff, haven't yet been to a meet myself seeing as it's such a horrible time of year. Good luck on the purchase hopefully see the car at some future meets.

It was held there last year mate, apparently it was really good according to the lot I used to go with, unfortunately I was away, I'll be down there this year. Bring your car along
-
Really wish I hadn't seen this thread, mine's up on the 31st march, get in there quick, paying £435 is gonna hurt, like £400 didn't hurt enough

Very little snow in Cardiff now, it was coming down heavy earlier but it's disappeared. Still just enough left for a nice bit of car park drifting

Cheers mate, gotta say nice height with 20's on standard suspension. You say they have a 20 sidewall? As in the profile is 20?
