  1. After reading a few threads on here I'm more than confused about spacers and offsets. Hopefully I should be picking up a set of 20's on the weekend, we'll see. I would have gone for 19's as a first choice but at the moment I just don't think I can be bothered to import a set of TE37's.

Anyway, the sizes and offsets of the 20's are:

    20 x 9.5 +45 front

    20 x 10.5 +25 rear

And I understand the standard Rays 18" wheels are +30 front and +33 rear. The car is at standard height at the moment and need to gauge some sort of idea as to what I'd need to do to the spacing in order to get the wheels sitting nice.

  2. I'm more lost when it comes to wheel setup then most, I do the reading then I get it for about 2 days until I forget it again, once I find a good set of wheels I'd need to get some help from here no dought.

No one scrutinizes offset more than the Yanks, just go to any forum, you see a pic of a car think the offset looks alright and then someone comes along and rips it to parts, it is a little confusing to say the least but it really shouldn't be.

  3. N9 something i think its in the block of flats next to me, hows your car now is it all sorted

That's the one N9 POW or something. It's the same as before mate, I've been so busy with work I haven't had time to get an engineers report on it and now I'm going off to Canada for 2 weeks. I'll sort it out one day, well before august when the car is 3 years old. I haven't seen yours around yet I don't think!

  4. 23 and had my Zed for about 3 months. I don't get this mid life crisis talk you lot go on about (maybe because I'm not middle aged yet) my old man likes the Zed and he's in his 60's mind you I don't think he's gonna do a swap for his DB9. A Zed is not a midlife crisis, it's a good choice! A midlife crisis is...a new Focus RS in 'that' green. I mean don't get me wrong, I think they're animals, but a grey haired guy driving one, come on, I wouldn't even drive one in that green.

  5. Absolutely gutted :( i was trying to bid it to £550 but my signal went on my phone just as i was bidding :(

It went for £535 in the end. anoyone off here?

lol my phone wouldn't refresh in time and I lost out I was putting my max bid in of 600 and the auction finished! Managed to push it up to 535. I reckon the first bid was probably someone the guy knew, happens all too often!

  6. Tape deck in a 07 car is laughable, most people can't believe it. My old del sol was a 1992 car and came over from japan with a Gathers CD Player (standard Honda audio equipment).

Welcome though and of course I'm going to be bias I love the bulge! lol.

  7. A bit of info here about using studs - see under 'damage to roads'

    http://www.etyres.co.uk/uk-tyre-law

    Interesting!

"Damage to road, person or vehicle

If the tyre causes either damage to the road, or to persons, or to any vehicle using the road. This would cover such instances as if a vehicle with damaged or very oversized tyres which either caught against a person or other vehicle resulting in either damage or injury. Studded tyres also are included in this clause and if used in inappropriate conditions (i.e. where there is no ice or snow) and they damage the road surface then they would be clearly illegal."

So how come a bad road isn't illegal? They ruin cars!

  8. Sorry to hear about that mate! RWD is just a dead loss at the moment, I realised that when I was moving nowhere doing nearly 120mph when I took my car out after it snowed. I swiftly got it pushed all the way home and left it there. It's not touching the road until the ice is gone. I'm sticking to FWD for the moment.
