  1. Send them to China and make them pay for their own bullet. Now I know people will say death is a good way out for them but to be honest I don't think there's a place in society for people like this even if they are in prison. They will be out one day and that's wrong.

  2. Berk HFCs make a nice additional on their own. I have Stillen Gen 3 intakes, Berk HFCs and a full Fast Intentions system. In my opinion the car feels and sounds more like it should now. It could be considered a little loud for an everyday car but as I don't use it to commute it really doesn't bother me.

  3. New tyres do take a few hundred miles to perform at their best, so the situation may improve but I suspect it is your problem if you only noticed it after the tyre change.

I'd accept that point but the car has done 1000 miles since the rear tyres were put on, I honestly expected them to settle down after a few hundred miles as well but when you're planting your foot in fourth and the traction control is lighting up it's not something that fills you with confidence.

4 matching tyres, and ideally all of similar wear, will address the traction issues.

I have never had any traction issues with the Sessantas and overall have found them a better suited tyre for the 370 and spirited road driving than the B/stones. Only issue I have is that my rear tyres are down to around 4/5mm of tread and I was thinking of looking just for a pair of rears, but given the prices you can get a set of MPSS for now they will probably be the next to try.

It's interesting that you say that. I think as a last ditch attempt I will get a set of Vreds on the front as I do think really there should be matching front and back tyres on there.

My brother has MPSS on his GTR and absolutely raves about them, I'm thinking I should have just gone with them. I was just a bit disheartened as the Bridgestones that came off the car lasted just over 9k miles so really wanted a change, maybe I should have been more cautious as I never suffered the issues I now have on the Bridgestones.

  4. Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been on these forums but I still have my 370, it's my only car now, more of a toy than anything. I recently replaced the rear tyres for Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas as the Bridgestones RE050s were no good, or so I thought. Since replacing the tyres I've noticed a lot of traction issues. The car wants to kick out a lot more, traction control kicks in under heavy acceleration, something I never suffered from before. Now I don't want to go pointing the finger at the rear tyres straight away as I see a few people run these on the forum with no issues at all. At the end of the day they aren't cheap chinese tyres but these are brand new and the Bridgestones were right on the legal limit.

A few points worth noting is that I still have the Bridgestones on the front of the car, the tread is still pretty good however it does play on my mind that I have different brand tyres on the front to the rear. Another issues is that the car has been fiddled with slightly, it has been lowered has Stillen Gen 3 intakes, Berk HFCs and a Fast Intentions Exhaust. The latter has only been on for a week and I'm well aware the car needs a map (Ecutek will come in due course).

With all of these points considered should I be experiencing the problems I'm having? I don't want to say that the car is undriveable but with the traction control kicking in more often than it used to on the Bridgestone rears it doesn't inspire the sort of confidence I used to have in the car. If of course the simple answer is ditch the Bridgestones on the front and get a set of Vreds on there are as well will fix the problem then I'll go ahead and do it but at the moment I'm not whole heartedly confident in the Vreds. Opinions welcome, cheers.

  5. Is this gearbox problem only on the 370Z..I know my 350Z gearbox is a bit sticky when cold from 1st to 2nd but that's

a common problem on all 350Z ? :scare: :scare:

I got rid of my 350 due to it's gearbox problems. I've yet to encounter any problems in my 370. It's very much luck of the draw. Nissans seems notorious for their gearboxes.

  6. Is this sold?

It's not sold and I've been MIA for a long time for various reasons I won't bore anyone with. Someone did message me a while back about the kit and I can't find the messages or anything  I'll be honest I can't remember who it was either (edit: looking through the above posts it could have been Kev actually). I'm in a bit of a different position to the one I was in before and I'm looking to get the kit on the car soon so unless anything changes I'd consider this withdrawn from sale, however this may change if I find it's impossible to live with a daily driver that has an Amuse kit on it.

  7. Sure someone had one for sale on here recently? You might want to consider a freesat box as well if you only want the basic channels. Oh and btw you lose a massive amount of signal strength by having the ariel in the loft ;)

I know mate, the old man said that as well but none of the houses on the estate have aerials on the roof. Either it's a strong signal area or I'm just unlucky and the aerial in my roof is no good. Either way to save me possibly putting a foot through one of my ceilings by messing around in the loft it's easier to pop in a sky box, or freesat like you say.

  8. Does anyone have a Sky+ box kicking about? The signal in the house I've moved in to is rubbish and I don't fancy messing around with the aerial in the loft space. The previous owners used to have Sky and the dish and points are still in place so I was going to just get a Sky+ box and stick a freeview card in it as that looks like the easiest option. I'll take a remote and any leads with it if anyone has one, thanks.

  9. For the sake of a possible row and to keep them happy and in turn make their tenancy less grief for you would you not be better to just do it yourself if you can and ban any further decorating. They have at least informed you about it so obviously aren't bad people. I'd have just done it myself were it me.

I think this is the best option.
