  1. Stew, when they put them in the pet shop they're cooped up in a little cage probably going out of their minds  we couldn't do that to ours. They have a good section of the conservatory blanked off so have a nice 7' by 7' cage to fly around in. They're not meant to be tame but that one would eat off your hand.

  2. My parents are Merc through and through, they currently have a number of them running right through from the 50's to present day. They've had their fair share of issues though. One of them was an E320 CDI estate (2005 model I think) they complained forever and a day that there was a problem with the turbos on it but Merc wouldn't have it. They did have the last laugh though when they traded it in and the guy who was transporting the car from one dealer to another had both the turbos disintegrate on him when he was driving it  That said their newest Merc, an E350 Estate which they got at the start of the year seems spot on. It really does seem pot luck and it shouldn't be that way with premium marques or any marque for that matter.

  3. Thanks for the input mate, I emailed the guy, he does have 97k in positive feedback so I am hoping he resolves this. He's emailed me back saying he will look in to it as the people he bought the CV joints off are a new supplier to him and the joints cost him £29.99 each plus £9.99 postage each! Bit surprised at that as they clearly retail at a lot less with free postage. Only time will tell but he's off for a few days as it's EDI at the moment. If I have no result I will escalate it as you say. Starting to lose faith in eBay, I've had some shocking experiences on there as of late.

  4. Just after a few pointers on where I stand here. I have a knackered driveshaft on my Audi A3 Quattro and I purchased a complete new driveshaft from a company on eBay. It turned up and it was wrong, fair enough I called the company and they were nice enough about it so I returned it for a full refund. I then had to purchase one that was specifically for a Quattro as stated on the advert. This is the advert (I've had to give a screenshot as the advert has changed since I purchased the item):

Now that advert clearly states the application and fitment to my 2003 Audi A3 Quattro 1.9 TDI. I purchased and paid and within 5 minutes I had an email asking for my registration so I replied and then had a call about 2 hours later saying the driveshaft wouldn't fit my car. I tried to explain to the guy that it would and my car was listed on the advert but he was adamant it would not fit my car. Anyway he said that what he would do is order me 2 CV joints to fit to the original shaft on mine, this cost a bit more but he didn't mind absorbing the cost which I thought was odd. Anyway this is the advert as it now stands, notice the addition that it does not fit Quattros but no alteration to the title of the advert, I thought I was going mad.

The further twist is that the company that sent me the CV joints (not his) is the company I returned the incorrect driveshaft to and the cost of the CV joints I received is as follows:

    http://www.jandrcvjoints.co.uk/audi-a3- ... new-99-03/ - £18.99

    http://www.jandrcvjoints.co.uk/audi-a3- ... w-2000-on/ - £18.99

So I have paid a guy with an incorrect listing that was altered after I purchased it £79.99 for something I could have purchased for £37.98! I'm fuming and to be fobbed off and told it cost a little more but don't worry. I have emailed him to ask for a £42 refund but where do I stand with eBay? I have effectively purchased something he didn't have and he changed the listing after I purchased it!

  5. Lol, someone else needing new Internet

    Indeed mate

Cheers for the input guys. I'm torn at the moment between my impatience and searching for a good deal. If I get sky I have to wait 6 weeks as a friend of a friend who works for sky will be able to arrange me a rather good deal. I've used sky over the girlfriends house and I have no complaints. I'm assuming the sky broadband basically runs off the infinity lines? I don't know whether to hold on and wait the 6 weeks as some if you rate sky, especially if I went for the tv as well. Ahhh decisions! 6 more weeks without internet is like losing a limb lol.

  6. Hi guys, I recently purchased my first house and I desperately need to get a broadband package in place. I'm okay for the moment as we've been busy moving in and the internet on my phone works just about but I miss having proper internet. Basically I want to know what the best deals are out there. I don't live in a cabled area so unfortunately its got to be the other option, the area is infinity enabled so its not all bad. Im not fussed on tv bundles so just want the best possible internet (no download limits), do you have any suggestions?

I haven't actually ordered from this site before but has a great selection, may have to treat myself.

they are 5mins away from me :)

I am slightly jealous mate! Then again it's probably a good thing I don't live 5 minutes away

Budvar is the king of european beers IMO, crack a bottle open and it just smells like a substance you might see some jaded youth smoking

Proper smiley juice as well

Heineken reminds me of this as well, then again look at where it's brewed, that's a good mainstream beer to be honest.
