  1. Your not gonna get the whole car done at a meet

thats the easy bit done, it only gets interesting from here ;)

i had great fun doing this mod actually, enjoy :)

I knew the window switches would be the easiest!

The air con units and cluster will be PITA! I think taking the clusters out will be most time consuming!

    Guides.....thank god for them!

  2. is yours pre or post facelift?

Does the post facelift have a pop out coffee cup holder on the drivers side?

The facelift (06+) has a coin holder thingy in place of the cup holder. The drinks holder is conveniently in the door card for both sides which I prefer

The pre-facelift door card holes are pretty useless for storing stuff not to mention taking stuff back out from it due to awkward shape of it

  3. Very B) Is it simply a case of replacing the LED's with soldering involved?

Yes it involves soldering! I use to take components off Mobile Phone PCB boards back in the days so this is far easier by comparison :thunmbs:

Took me about 10mins to remove and fit the LEDs on that board

  4. Cos its friggin hot and I am beyond tired I decided to do some test mods with the driver side window switches.

Didn't take long for me to do the conversion on this one side but here is a taster! ;)

Work in progress me thinks! :)

  5. Well last year I was torn between the S2000 and 350z but ended up with an S2000 and loved every minute of it. Much more sports focus in terms of drivabilty and the gearbox and 9krpm was nothing short of exhilarating

Decided to sell up and get a 350z not because I didn't like the S2000 but I just fancied a change and since owning the Zed I realise that this is more fit for my needs and purpose.

  6. I need to get a trolley jack ASAP but need one slim enough to go under the car, as Terry Tibbs would say "talk to me!"

Mark I have one at home in Kempston. Dunno whether it will be slim enough for your use but if your more than welcome to borrow it if it fits the bill

Kenwood DNX-7200 and Kenwood KOS-L702 with Kenwood KOS-V500 hidden media adapter.

The Kenwood KOS range is pretty good if you looking for something a little more secure, as you can pop the screen out when its parked but still have all the benifits of a Double Din video unit... V500 sits in the cubby behind the Pax seat with all the connections running into there...

Looks like you have 6 Double D's in the car! :p

  8. Using this guide : viewtopic.php?f=35&t=30870

Remove door card, reattach the window switch and wind the window down till the 3 window securing bolts are revealed where the holes are in the door. Then check whether any of these are loose. If so then bear in mind the window may need to be re-alinged and a window reset done.

If this is not the case then check all the other fixings are secured in place as it could be the whole mechanism loose perhaps?

  9. MIne was intermittant too. It wouldn't happen all the time but when it did I had to hold the switch until it was all the way up and it behaved afterwards.

Its was almost like the auto up functioned needed warming up before working but nevertheless the window reset sorted mine out and hasn't happened since

  10. like i said, mine was mint underneath, not a scratch about. how are yours all scratched and where?

I just assumed mine would be scrathed where the holder meets the paint but I've not taken it off. Will give it a go when my private plate goes on
