  1. GM Roadster spotted in Solihull Church Hill car park yesterday around 2pm ish. Nice carbon fibre bits
  2. Bugger, looks like I missed this one - take it I am too late for the group buy? Where could I source one directly?
  3. I too am dodo juiced up to the max and will be on the detail duty tomorrow morning. Luckily I have got space to do this under cover!
  4. If you still have any doubts follow this simple back to back test: 1. Get into TT/SLK 2. Turn key and listen carefully. Then: 1. Get into zed 2. Turn key 3. Realise you need to depress the clutch to start. 4. Turn key again and listen, dont worry about being careful you wont miss this one.. Decide on which one is going to make you smile when you do that on a wet Tuesday morning in 18 months time.... no contest. Small print: Probably best not to do this test with an SLK 55 AMG though!
  5. Completely agree with all the comments here, I've not owned a car that has got a more positive reaction on the road. What really makes me smile is the amount of little kids, that yank on their parent arms to point out the car as it comes past or wave. Call me sad, but I love that. My mates 5 year old loves it, I lent it to him last weekend (the mate not the kid!) and his lad couldnt stop talking it about it when i came to pick it up!
  6. Try this one www.twentyonerome.com 10 minutes walk from the Vatican and 15 minutes from the Spanish steps. Furthest attraction away is the colluseam which is about an hour away. Attractions to see - the list is endless - the pantheon, st peters, Trevi fountain, colluseam. It's a fantastic city.

    No 350Z for me

Had a 987 S a couple of years back - fantastic car no doubt about it (mine did have bose, dont worry your not missing much!). Looking back now, the only thing that let it down was the sound, it was just a little too reserved for my taste, bearing in mind I like the standard zed exhaust im not a big noise junky. Add an aftermarket exhaust or porsche sports exhaust and it would be spot on. At the time (2006), I paid near enough double for the 987 for what I paid for my 07 zed last year - at those prices zed wins all day long. Now the 987 prices are down though, much more difficult decision..

    Window drop?

Thanks for the linky, I already had the guide printed out - I was looking for more of a heads up from anyone else who has had the issue, and how it was fixed. Hopefully the reset procedure will sort it.

    Window drop?

Hi all, Bit of advice please - I have a very slight water leak coming in at the bottom of the passenger door on my MY06. On investigation it looks like the window is not moving back up into position when the door is shut, hence not making a tight seal. I can hear the mechanism making the usual noise when the door is shut, it just doesnt move the glass when the door is opened or closed. Its in for a service next week, so I will get this fixed then hopefully - has anyone had this problem? Cheers
  10. Was there for a couple of hours for a meeting with a collegue thats all, just picked it as a convienient spot for both our paths to cross.
  11. Ha spotted for the first time - cheers! Can you believe it was spotless when I left this morning, bloody weather!
  12. Possibly true, but I also think that sports cars generally change hands more than your average car. Porsche and Ferrari etc its quite common to have 2 or 3 owners in the first few years of it being on the road. Not that I am comparing them, but the zed is still the sort of car that people buy because they fancy it then sell because they have another itch to scratch, or are surprised by the running costs etc.

  15. Hi all, Just a quick post to introduce myself, I will be joining your ranks this weekend with black '07 GT Coupe. I've got to say, this forum has been brilliant for buying info - directly saved me the cost of the missing bluetooth adapter which I wouldnt have known about until too late otherwise. So good in fact you can seee this is my first post - I didnt even have to ask a question the search was spot on! So thank you very much to everyone. Its been some time since I had a "proper" car and I cant wait! Cheers Martin
