    Tonneau Cover

Hi all, For sale a black vertical tonneau in excellent condition originally supplied from http://www.requestonline.co.uk/350zTonneaus This is the kind that fits underneath the strut brace and creates a vertical partition between the boot - useful to stop your laptop hitting you in the back of the head during spirited driving! £45 inc UK P&P Cheers Martin
  2. Sold! Mods please can you update the title?
  3. Yeah that was my thinking too. Last year I wanted a set of winter tyres and didnt want the hassle of swapping tyres on the rims etc, so ended up spending a couple of hundered more than they are advertised here to get the wheels +tyres (which was marginally more expensive than buying 18" winter tyres). My thoughts were being 17s the tyre cost would also be slightly better in the long run (wasnt planning to sell the zed at that point). I listed them at price I know I would have been more than happy to pay last year as the tyres are practically new, if it turns out no one else agrees with me then I will happily review the price in a couple of weeks. If anyone wants to make me an offer before then drop me a PM
  4. ** Edited to correct a typo and add a little more info ** Hi all, For sale here are my 17" G35 rims wearing Kuhmo KW27 I'Zen Winter Tyres. I bought the wheels in January last year courtesy of our friend ZMANALEX and purchased the tyres brand new from mytyres.co.uk. The wheels are from a G35 coupe and are also the same wheels fitted to the standard model JDM Zed http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Wheel_Specifications. They have been fitted to my UK GT, so there are no issues clearing the Brembo callipers. Unfortunately I missed all the snow (!) and did a couple of thousand miles on them before taking them off in late March. Now the zed is leaving this month I am hoping these can be of use to someone. The tyre sizes are: 225/50 R17 front. 235/50 R17 rear. I have measured the tread depth today and the rears have 7mm of tread and the fronts 8mm (approx) so barely worn. Two wheels have one very minor kerb mark each, and other than one or two light scratches they are in very good condition. Current price on mytyres for these tyres is £600 (sure to rise over the next couple of month - Blackcircles want £750!). My price including the wheels is £600 - payment via cash on collection (Redditch, Worcs) or bank transfer. I am investigating shipping options but estimate this to be £50 (can be confirmed when I have the buyers location). You can see them on the car in this thread http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=45156 along with a brief review of the tyres. Cheers Martin.
  5. I dont like the fact the additional tax is effectively dead money, but its only an extra couple of hundered quid. In the grand scheme of things on a car like the zed its buttons - its a couple of tanks of fuel (which doesnt last long). If you were unlucky enough to get a puncture on the way home it would end up costing you more than that to replace the tyre etc Get it bought!
  6. Hi there. I would say thats getting to the right sort of money for a main dealer 313 car now, way too expensive before. I have been researching prices in this last week so have a pretty good feel at the minute. +1 on the colour by the way. I am however "aware" of a 2007 07 GT 296 available for considerably less: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3277059.htm
  7. Spotted in Santander's head office car park in Shenley Wood - have seen the 370 a few times now
  8. Probably the most delayed reaction to a spotted thread ever.... that was me! Second "Spotted" in 18 months or so of ownership You wont see it again unfortunately - I left in April! P.S. Be careful when you use that car park - the trees drop sap really badly at certain points in the year.
  9. Just thought I would post my thoughts so far having covered 600 or so miles since fitting a set of Kuhmo KW27 winter tyres to the zed. First important thing to point out is I sourced (courtesy of ZMANALEX) some 17" Skyline G35 rims, which are apparently the OEM wheels for the JDM 350z "Base" and "Enthusiast" specifications. So the tyre sizes fitted are 225/50R17 front and 235/50R17 rear. So thoughts so far in no particular order: [*:5iimlrl9]You can feel instantly to the touch that these are a much softer compound in comparison to the standard Bridgestones, plus the tread is much deeper. [*:5iimlrl9]On the road you can definitely feel the effects of the taller rubber/compound which translates to a subtle "rubbery" effect when leaning on the tyres under power and a less immediate initial bite on turn in. [*:5iimlrl9]The ride is slightly softer, if possibly a little bouncy over certain surfaces. [*:5iimlrl9]Grip levels in the cold (1-5 degrees) and wet are good, they do have a tendency to break traction a little earlier at low speed, but I am putting this down to a smaller contact patch. [*:5iimlrl9]They deal with standing water very well, much more stable feeling than the Bridgestones. Summary: Obviously compromised in the looks and outright performance department, but definitely an improved overall experience in the nasty weather. That is probably as far as I can go for now. Ill post a review when the summer wheels go back on in a couple of months, and an update if we are unlucky enough to get more of the white stuff! Here is a pic just in case you want to see what the car looks like on 17's. Bet the first reply to this is needs lowering and spacers
  10. If its been sat on the forecourt for that long, they may well have just dropped the price to that level to get it moved on. Its possible they could have taken it as a part exchange at a very low price anyway, and are now moving it on for more or less what they paid perhaps? Typically dealers price high initially and reduce as time goes on, from memory I think mine had previously been up at £1k more. With fuel and insurance prices as they are these sort of cars only really appeal to enthusiasts which is a smaller market by definition, I wouldnt say there is anything to worry about on face value. That said, perhaps an AA inspection is the way forward. Its money well spent if it picks up anything nasty and will save you the journey. Best of luck! [Edit] Oh yes, bootspace -fine for a weekend trip.
  11. 350z GT - Black, 2007 330d M-Sport - Le Mans Blue, 2006 Boxster S (987) - Blue, 2005 Focus ST170 - Sliver, 2003 Puma 1.7 - Curiass blue, 1997 All great cars in their individual ways!
  12. ZMANALEX just sorted me out with some suitable 17's which are from a G35 Skyline originally, but are identical to the standard fit on the base JDM model. Ive googled and checked the offset and I believe these should clear the Brembos no problem. Some useful info about wheels here: http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Wheel_Specifications Just be aware you will be lucky to see any winter tyres much before the end of January according to the tyre bods I have spoken to.
  13. Just spoke to the guys I normally use, they have been officially told they have no chance of stock until 10th Jan at the earliest.
  14. At least you have an excuse - I have had the car for over a year! You can register your interest on blackcirces.com according to their website they are expecting some in a weeks time. Someone else on here used mytyres.co.uk I think, but they are out of stock now. Otherwise might be worth ringing around a few local places maybe. Good luck! In the interim try and get hold of a few carpet offcuts to stick under the wheels if you get properly stuck - got me out of the $hit a couple of weeks ago!
  15. I've looked for a couple of days, I think your going to be lucky to get by the end of Jan at the earliest. I read somewhere the factories are now manufactoring summer tyres and stocks of winter tyres severely depleted for the foreseable future. Lesson learnt for myself, should have sorted this out in September!
