  1. I have a question about the first post in this thread. It states that the 4 year/54000 mile service is a big one currently around £500. How accurate is this? I ask because I have seen several members of this forum stating they've paid much less for a P3 service. In this thread alone viewtopic.php?f=64&t=6668&start=60 someone has paid only £240. Granted, the post is from 2009. But the OP in this thread was also made in 2009.
  2. The car wasn't sold before Xmas. I nearly bought it on Saturday just gone. It's been on the forecourt for at least nine months. Each time I've been to look at it they've told me to be quick making my mind up as people are looking at it all the time. They are just a bunch of liars. If they were a bit better at human interaction they would stand a better chance of selling it. Terrible, terrible garage.
  3. I will do mate, I'll be in touch tomorrow. Cheers.
  4. They've only rang me once. To say that the other person who was coming to look at it, didn't buy it. Surprise, surprise!
  5. I drove it, and although my knowledge is extremely limited, it sounded sweet and drove well. I don't understand why they wouldn't let you drive it. Even by their standards, that's pretty weird. I'll drop you a pm mate.
  6. I know their reputation for customer service and bullshitting customers, the salesman gave me the usual crap "well we've got someone coming to look at it in the morning who is probably gonna buy it, so if you want it I would decide now" How did the car seem to you though, a good buy?
  7. I live in Sunderland mate, where the garage is. Would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Excellent. Seems strange that it isn't advertised as one. Oh well just got to wait for any replies to my other thread now.
  9. To anybody who hasnt seen my "newbie" thread. I have been looking at the following car and would greatly appreciate any help anybody may be willing to offer. http://www.evanshalshaw.com/vehiclesear ... 04lae.html Basically, the car has been stood in that forecourt since at least July and a friend of mine believes it was originally priced closer to £12000. Its probably just been reduced so much because the initial price was them "trying it on" on now they just want rid. But it could also be more sinister than that. Im really no expert on cars so is there anybody local who would mind helping me out and giving it a once over for me? Also, i believe that last sevice was a biggie, and i dont really know what that entails. Your services will be rewarded and thanks in advance to anyone!
  10. What exactly does the GT pack have on top of the standard car? Im no expert but having done a little bit of research, i think the car could be a GT, just not advertised as one. When i test drove the car, it had electrically adjusatable heated leather seats, cruise control and the bose stereo system. According to the parkers website these are standard GT features but were they also optional extras on the base model?
  11. Thanks people. Probably better to start another thread with a more grabbing title.
  12. Hello everybody . I have had my eye on the following car since November and i test drove it in early december. http://www.evanshalshaw.com/vehiclesear ... 04lae.html Since then i have also been looking at a number of Mazda RX8's. However, i really cant stop thinking about the Nissan, it really is a superb car. However i have a few issues with the Nissan i am looking at. On the face of it, it looks a cracking deal. Considering its a nissan main dealer, the price is unbeatable (i cant find a cheaper one anyway). It has full service history (although i will have to check what exactly was done on the 54000 mile one as i understand its a biggie). I know that the dealer have had this car in their forecourt since at least july and a friend of mine thinks it was originally priced closer to £12000. Am i being paranoid thinking they have had to drop the price considerably as something major is wrong with the car or it needs lots of money spent on it? Or is it really just the financial world in which we are living at the minute, and not many people (especially in the north east where i live) can afford a car like this therefore the dealer has had to drop the price? Im really no expert when it comes to cars so, other than looking at the general appearance of the car, i wouldnt know how to look for any kind of deep rooted problem. I suppose this is a long shot, but i know forum members tend to be a very helpful bunch, is there anybody on here who lives anywhere near Sunderland who would mind looking at it with/for me? Also, an a slightly different note. How much can you really get in the boot? Not a massive issue to me, but if i was to buy it, i would like to be able to take it on the weekends away i have with the better half. Can you get two weekend bags in it? If not, we'll have to take her yaris
