No not realy mate just wonderd what the fitment issues were.

No bits going on mine now if going for sale next year

:scare: Wow, what are you thinking of replacing it with?

I have been driving mine again and am thinking of keeping it

Hi guys, already had 4 wheel hunter alighnment. They couldn't bring back to stock, however it is only just outside the oem high range specs. I'm happy with this anyway as I like a little negative camber. Only do around 3000 miles per year so not worried on tyres. Handling improved quite a bit after alighment compared to stock ride height and settings. Its just the dam understeer and front body roll in the front. Hopefully sway bar will sort it out :)

Sounds like you just need to be heavier on the throttle to get rid of that understeer ;)

What Sim has said, get a proper 4 wheel Hunter alignment done as it will transform the handling.

The guys across the pond for once are correct, no need for a rear bar on the 370, however, I would have gone with Eibach instead of Shiteline.

@Shep1982 the handling issue could be because your geometry is already out of whack.

Just to be controversial, I've got Eibach ARBs and whiteline drop links. ;)

  4. Looks great, my first Zed was an 04 ginger 350z with the ginger inside, loved it :)

I know you said to don't want to lower it but I fitted a some RS-R springs on my wife's roadster, I was really surprised how good they were and how much it sharpened the handling up for not much cash outlay.

Plus it still goes over speed bumps :)

So the cleaning started by tooth pasting the headlights.... and it won't last but was happy with the initial results and just to be (kinda) working on a car again.

You can get UV sealer fairly cheaply from ebay.

Just wipe on a leave after you've cleaned them, it lasts fairly well.

The new wheels have arrived! Test fitted them earlier and the fitment is looking spot on :D I didn't have any planks of wood so I couldn't lower the car fully off the jack unfortunately but it's all looking good so far.

New tyres ordered a couple of days ago so they should be here in the middle of next week. Hoping to get them fitted next Friday while the car is having the handles and windows done!

    I cannot wait!

Awesome, get some pictures up with those new wheels on :)

  7. Can't answer your ARB/swaybar question and sorry if I'm telling you how to suck eggs but make sure you get the geometry done, if the drop is alot, you might need adjustable rear camber arms to get everything back inside tolerance.

If you don't there is a strong possibility you'll start eating tyres due to uneven wear, ask James Oversteer (don't know his name on here).

  8. If it's had new brake lines recently and it's a legit garage, they should have a lift or inspection bay, so you should be able to look underneath and see the new lines.

Plus then you can have a really good look at the underside.

I've seen some terrible corrosion on 350Zs, and not just easy to replace bits like the braces.

As others have said, check your rights and beware it does sound dodgy.

  9. Super only, its to stop knock, which the the fuel exploding when it shouldn't do when it's squashed.

I mainly used Shell VPower which is 99, any Super will be safer than normal unleaded.

If you end up in the sticks where you can't buy super, just put normal fuel in, ideally as little as possible, but don't nail the car until you've filled up with super again.

Hey, so I've managed to work it all out with the dealership. He wasn't keen but we've come to a sensible agreement. It took someone else on his side to intervene! He came to an agreement over the phone then when I chased him up over email he went back to arguing. Hopefully it's the last of it but let's see. I'm away for the weekend but provided everything stays settled I've discuss the details on here.

It'll obviously come in handy for anyone else who has a similar issue.

So has it stayed sorted? Or have they backed out again?

  11. Ok, so as it's getting cold and miserable, how about doing an evening meet on say a Tuesday night at a pub where they do good, but not expensive, food?

I know Davey_83 did the Crosspoint meet on a Sunday for Sunday Lunch but there was talk of a week day evening one but we went once, no one else was there and I haven't heard anything since?

Or are weekends just generally better for people?

I'm quite happy to sort a location but want to get an idea if people would be up for it?

Leicester/Coventry/Nottingham general midlands area maybe more in the sticks but obviously with a decent car park and no speed bumps but the key thing it being on a Tuesday or Wednesday?

  12. As my wife's 370Z roadster is her daily drive but she's also a petrol head, when we sorted out the body kit, skirts, spats and lip, it would obviously need dropping to reduce that arch gap.

I looked at the option and went with some springs:

    https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/suspension/springs-shocks/1382-370z-rs-r-down-sus-lowering-springs-n134d.html

This way we get keep reasonable ground clearance and comfort.

Having run various coilovers on various cars over the years, HSDs, BCs and with KW3s on my 370z, I wasn't expecting much.

But I must say I was surprised how much it just tightened up the car and made it feel less GT and more nimble/planted.

Definitely recommend these if you want a compromise and it's a daily, they really only lose out to the coilovers when your driving really hard.

  13. In line with the Cooling duct review I put up, I thought I'd continue with my mods reviews.

So this morning it's the Stillen 370Z Canards.

I originally bought a pair of these from Chris at Tarmac but after some consideration, I decided to get them carbon skinned.

    https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/nissan/nissan-370z/370z-stillen-front-canards.html

    I sent them off to

    Carbon Fibre It

    http://www.carbonfibreit.co.uk

Originally they agreed to skin them but what I received was a completely carbon pair by using the Stillen ones as a mold,

I marked up the bumper, drilled small holes and used some tigerseal and stainless wide thread self tappers which have worked great.

To be honest the increased stability at speed is far higher than I expected, it is very noticeable, especially at speeds far in excess of the speed limit, obviously on track and the Autobahn. *cough*

The carbon was of very high quality and after over 8 months and a few thousand miles, they are still secure and no sign of any damage.

Writing this has prompted me to chase them up as they are supposed to be sending me another pair because they kept the original Stillen ones to make a mold.

I'll let you know why reply I get, but I can recommend the carbon they sent me and the increased stability after installation.

  14. I can't find any specific information on these, so I thought I'd drop a small review up.

When I first got Abbey top install the GTM SC kit, we agreed on fitting uprated pads (Hawk)/Discs(Stoptech grooved) and braided lines.

This was great for day to day road use but the first NissShow at Donnington Heritage Loop passenger rides showed up a little cooling issue.

I say little, because I thought I was going to have to use my extinguisher.

After about 12 laps there was smoke and serious fad.

So, after a bit of a read about in a few places they blamed poor air flow around the brakes, I opted for the Stillen Duct kit and the the following year no more smoke.

The loop was hard on the gas, hard on the brakes a lot and no real cooling time so for bigger tracks I might not have had such as issue, but if anyone does have brake problems, I can recommend the duct kit.

It can be a nightmare sorting stuff out on second hand cars, it's really important to have loads of history so you can have as much idea as possible about everything, especially on relatively expensive cars.
