yes it was. happy with tyres. noise still there. my mechanics thinks its a dry gator? hes going to slick it up next week, and while hes at it grease thge bearings too. is this possibly the cause?

i went to see CS today to get my tyres changed and also get the laser tracking done. all i can say is that they are great!!! i even got a cheaper price than i was quoted over the phone!! happy chappy!! although i need to get the wheel bearing sorted out now:(

if your getting rid of the bridgestones it may well be them, i vaguly remember people posting that the stones are loud anyway, but they also had another noise, and when they put new rubber on the noise disappeared. how much tred did you have left? bridgestone are the ones in buying. re040s i used them on my teg and loved them. are they good on the z also?

it wasnt the balancing i've ordered 4 new tyres as the old ones are knackered. couldnt it be badly worn tires making the noise?

i've got the car now. loving it apart from this annoying noise when the wheels go round. sounds like a rubbing. discusses it in another post. will clean her up and take pics soon.

going to get the balancing done now. i think ill have the back ones done as well. also while the cars up ill ask to rotate the wheels round one by one to see if it's a warped disc. will let you know how i get on...........

when i went to test drive the z that i bought i heard a slight noise as the wheels go round. i presumed that the driver wheel was slightly buckled and that was the sound. (curbed alot) i have changed the wheel now and the noise is still there! it sounds like it happens with each revolution of the wheels. i think its coming from the front drivers wheel. (not very sure though, its hard to tell) there is a very slight vibration at high speeds. im thinking poss warped disc, however the sound is still there when i brake. also a possibility is just the balancing? getting done in the morning. could it be the wheel bearing considering the sound inst a constant whining but can be heard as the wheel goes round.

thats what im going to do. where do i get a bose to iso adapter from, any idea of price? also what will i find behind the bose stereo? are there rca/phono leads that go to a bose amp?

I think the car looks soooo much better with the 20mm eibach spacer. CS supplied them and also help me get them fitted at a very reasonable price. got to say, the service was absolutely spot on!!! highly recommended!! pics to follow soon...... need to clean her first!!!!

i was thinking of some way of controlling the ipod through the stereo and charging it at the same time. i already know the bluetooth isn't in it. the cradles there though so ill get the adaptor at some point.

sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. i was wondering whats the best way to connect your ipod to the bose system. mines the one with the tape deck on the bottom. i've seen adaptors on ebay. i dont want to buy the wrong one or spend too much if there's a cheaper option. im picking up the car tomorrow morning. what things do i need to make sure i get? such as red key, make sure the spares there etc. i dont want to get home to discover thats he's knicked something off it to sell on.
